A Horus Heresy Novel

Censured at the Council of Nikea for his flagrant use of sorcery, Magnus the Red and his Legion retreat to their homeworld to continue their use of the arcane arts in secret.

Listen to it because

One of the most tragic tales of the entire Horus Heresy unfolds as the Thousand Sons are brought low by their relentless quest for knowledge. Magnus is sure that he knows better than the Emperor – but isn't that what caused Horus to fall as well?

The story

Censured at the Council of Nikea for his flagrant use of sorcery, Magnus the Red and his Thousand Sons Legion retreat to their homeworld of Prospero to continue their use of the arcane arts in secret. When the ill-fated primarch foresees the treachery of Warmaster Horus and warns the Emperor with the very powers he was forbidden to use, the Master of Mankind dispatches fellow primarch Leman Russ to attack Prospero itself. But Magnus has seen more than the betrayal of Horus – and the witnessed revelations will change the fate of his fallen Legion, and its primarch, forever.

The narrator sounds like he has a lisp and is talking through a phone. it almost drags down one of the better HH books.

Bad Narrator, Good Book

The Horus heresy novels have been proving to be an amazing look back into the lives of characters before, during, and after their fall and this book solidifies that notion. Great work from the narrator and the author for really breaking through to the tragedy of Magnus the Red.

Fantastic!

the first few chapters were almost impossible to get through due to the narrator and poor recording feedback.

Wasn't a fan of the narrator. I would have preferred some of the narrator's from the other Horus Heresy novels.

The book is great, but this guy can't do voices that aren't Magnus or Ahriman to save his life.

voices Aren't great

I'm not sure why everyone tops this narrator so much?
For me I thought his reading was will done and he gave life to the characters.

Really great story

Just what did Magnus do to earn the ire of the Galaxy?

Very good voice acting with a thrilling story and memorable characters.

excellent

The narrator overemphasized to many words and put unnecessary pauses in the sentences. His voice sounded nasally and often to wet. The book however was worth it overall.

Great book. Bad narrator.
