In 1978, Warren Fellows was convicted of heroin trafficking between Thailand and Australia. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in the notorious Bang Kwang prison - better known as the Bangkok Hilton. It was the beginning of 12 years of hell in a place where sewer rats and cockroaches are the only nutritious food, where prison guards laugh as they deliver pulverising blows, and where the worst punishment is the khun deo - solitary confinement, Thai style.

Would you listen to The Damage Done again? Why?
Yes, it would still be interesting for me after listening many times because there is so much to think about. It is much more than an story about a prison experience.

The descriptions allowed me to understand the experiences he endured and to know what he felt about the experiences.
Which character – as performed by David Tredinnick – was your favorite?
All of the character representations were done well - I was able to tell the people apart very easily.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, when he was caught - I didn't breathe.

An Exciting Story of Survival
Revisado: 05-31-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend this book to my friends who share my interest in survival planning and to friends who enjoy a good adventure story. The story is very entertaining and includes many of the items we use when we plan to spend time in the woods, there are also items I plan to buy as a result of listening to this book. Some people are distracted by the level of detail - survival enthusiasts will be thrilled.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Going Home?
The most memorable moment for me was in the beginning when Morgan grabbed his gear and hit the road - I knew then that this would be a good story and I wasn't disappointed.
What about Duke Fontaine’s performance did you like?
When Duke Fontaine portrayed Morgan, he sounded the way I think Morgan would sound - no nonsense. He also portrayed the other characters in such a unique way that I never had to stop and think about who was speaking.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending is very moving and very satisfying - I plan to listen to the other parts of the series soon.

Gets to the point with good examples

Would you consider the audio edition of You Are Not Your Brain to be better than the print version?
I have not read the printed version - I can see how it would be useful, especially for the exercises.

No other book.
What aspect of Mel Foster’s performance would you have changed?
I would have asked him not to give people accents.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
It is more of an informational book than a moving book - there are some great parts with helpful information.
