Sandman is great. Most performances are good. Dream’s actor is the big disappointment though. Don’t know why they didn’t get a melee unique voice for him to match the black chat bubble. I would also have taken Neil himself as Dream!

Fun take on the demon harem trope

Pretty tropey and predictable story. The sex is fine and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. The magic and curse “system” gets a little more complicated and explained than it needs to.

The performance of the (2?) narrators are excellent and each character has their own recognizable voice. This makes works reallly well.

Confusing story read excellently

Gave up before finishing. The world building is interesting enough, but author tries to hard. Would have given up sooner if not for Mr Bray who is the best and the primary reason I have picked up and tried many books.

Skippable

By far the worst book in the series. The story is no longer fresh and novel, but we get served a pretty bog standard action story that just happens to take place in the Bobverse without a good enough value add from it. There are some twists but they are too telegraphed and predictable to provide much value.

The performance is perfect and enjoyable.

Ultimately a disappointment

The start and premise is really good. The performance of the audio super star R C Bray is without fault ofcourse. The problem is that the last 3 fourths of the book is not an interesting Sci fi but a manuscript to a Michael Bay movie and I only got through the book waiting for it to get back to form. Suddenly "the end".

Great performance, adult Harry Potter story

The narrator is great and makes it work. The story is a little too... How can I include all the fairy tale stuff I can think of and make it all relevant to one lucky nerd. Bit to convenient. I was adult also meant believable characters and motivations..
The sexy times doesn't really add anything imho.

If you got this far in the series, may as well continue. It is more of the same.

The concept is interesting and funny. The execution is horrible. Mostly because the characters are obnoxious. The culture callbacks fall flat and the ironically clichés are not experienced as ironic, just clichés.

Good narrator though.

Informative but exciting

Reads almost like fiction, it is well put together. A great way to learn more about how the Cold War ended.
