Historia
The Bhagavad Gita, "The Song of the Lord", is the best known of all the Indian scriptures, and Easwaran's reliable and accessible version has consistently been the best-selling translation. Easwaran's introduction places the Gita in its historical setting and brings out the universality and timelessness of its teachings. Chapter introductions give clear explanations of key concepts in that chapter.

Historia
Listen to the New Testament (NKJV) read in its entirety by music legend Johnny Cash. After 20 years of encouragement from his mother to record the Bible, he approached the recording of the New Testament with "fear, respect, awe, and reverence for the subject matter." Cash added, "I also did it with a great deal of joy, because I love the Word." Enjoy listening to one of the most distinctive voices of our time in this wonderful audio edition of the Word of God.

The man loves an acronym!!!
Revisado: 01-07-25
I like the information, but every time he gets to a point he says “you will read about that in my next book”. Nice sales tactic…. You also better have a copy of the acronym list handy, I think he strives for six to eight for each paragraph. I’ll end up getting the rest of the book series, because I am really interested in his take on the subject matter. I hope they will have less attempted humor and more information on the techniques of the process. I hate to be so critical because he seems like a great guy and I really want to be a fan. This just missed my taste a bit.

Historia
The 13th-century mystic Meister Eckhart was the most brilliant Christian scholar of his day, but he was also legendary for the way that he opened listeners to the direct experience of God during his public talks. Today, his written wisdom remains alive as ever, ready to illuminate us. With Meister Eckhart's Living Wisdom, James Finley, one of today's best-known teachers of the Christian contemplative tradition, invites us into Eckhart's insights in the same way that this luminary teacher delighted in sharing them.

Put the narration speed up to 1.2 and all is good. What I needed. Both Eckhart and the narrator have invaluable insights and they are presented and explained in clear language that is easily understandable.

Historia
Madame Helena Blavatsky, in two introductory essays, offers students of Theosophical beliefs a wide-reaching and worldly outlook on the Ancient Mysteries. While demonstrating that much like Rosicrucian and Masonic philosophy, Theosophy has, at the heart of its doctrine, the concept of a Universal Brotherhood, she by no means forgets to include numerous Eastern influences, which help set apart the distinctive path of Theosophy, from other arenas of esoteric study...

Reading of the lost scriptures and good commentary. I’ve listened to several other Nag Hammadi books that were just commentaries on the text without including the actual scriptures. Narrator could go a little faster and drop the movie preview voice.

Historia
Although all the titles of the Nag Hammadi library are not known, many people have heard about its most famous components: The Gospel of Thomas - at one time it was discussed whether it should be included in the New Testament - and The Gospel of Philip, which tried to revive the debate around the identity of Mary Magdalene: "Why do you love her more than all of us?" asks a disconcerted Peter to Jesus. Finally, the Nag Hammadi texts have led many scholars to reconsider the rigid canons imposed by the early Church, and the readers to find a more intimate religion that turned upside down many postulates of Christian orthodoxy.
