Historia
The walls have fallen, the gates are breached, and the defenders are slain. It is the end and the death. After seven brutal years of civil war, the Warmaster stands on the verge of victory. Horus Lupercal, once beloved son, has come to murder his father. The Emperor, a shining beacon of hope to many, an unscrupulous tyrant to others, must die. The lives of uncountable numbers have been extinguished and even primarchs, once thought immortal, have been laid low. The Emperor's dream lies in tatters, but there remains a sliver of hope.

I love this book so much. Dan Abnett has never let me down in the past and he still hasn’t. Everything is coming together and you love to see it.

The Warmaster’s horde advances through the fire and ash of Terra's dying breaths, forcing the loyalists back to the Delphic Battlement—the very walls of the Sanctum Imperialis. Angron, Primarch of the World Eaters and Herald of Horus, has achieved immortality through annihilation—now he leads the armies of the damned in a wrathful tide, destroying all before them as the warp begins its poisonous corruption of Terra's very soil.

This book goes hard. Harder than a skeleton bonking an arrogant bird with a victim complex on the noggin.

Historia
The Great Crusade is ending. The Emperor has returned to Terra, while Horus remains among the stars to complete the unification of humanity. As the Imperial armies fight the final battles of the age, Remembrancer Solomon Voss seeks the answer to one question—why does Sigismund, First Captain of the Imperial Fists and greatest champion of the Legions, believe that war will not end? Granted a rare audience with the master of the Templars, the answer takes Voss on a revelatory journey to a time before Sigismund became a Space Marine.

Love it
Revisado: 04-24-22
I always love to see the legions do their thing and get some interesting characters along the way. This book delivers on both of those. If you want to see the Imperial Fists and Sigismund do some cool stuff this one is a good choice.

It’s fleshes out the Universe
Revisado: 07-27-20
But not a lot else. This to me seems to be a pretty good book overall, it gets what it needs to across it introduces some interesting characters like Aleya and Valoris, but it doesn’t really seem to add anything substantial to what we already have. This book can be skipped but I do think that it is still worth listening to if you like 40k or want some cool stuff about what the Silent Sisterhood has been doing since the Heresy.
