quite possibly the worst audible book I've ever listened to.
Revisado: 12-04-24
not only does the title mislead you on what it is, it Is arguably laughable trying to listen to it. The book title "business ideas that really work", has nothing to do with the fact the book is a copy of Al franken's character Stuart Smalley from Saturday night live doing daily affirmations. literally this is all this book is. And that's where the funny part comes. whoever was the audio editor apparently never listened to it a second time because it was so bad lol. It says stuff and then it repeats it at a lower level.... with some cheesy 1980s music in the background. then what's really funny is the audio is loud than quiet in the wrong spots. I've beat myself through the book laughing at the fact that it's more of entertainment than it is any thing else.

Historia
All of us are faced countless times with the challenge of persuading others, whether we're trying to win a trivial argument with a friend or convince our coworkers about an important decision. Instead of relying on untrained instinct - and often failing as a result - we'd win more arguments if we learned the timeless art of verbal persuasion, or rhetoric.

super annoying
Revisado: 09-05-23
Listening to him say "Jeffery Gitomer" after every quote of himself that he has littered throughout the book drove me insane. *INSANE* It was like listening to someone with a tourette tick. The low key/under his breath and random insertions with his name over and over. It totally ruined the book, cadence, and ability to concentrate on the content once I started to focus on it. ARGH!!

Historia
Years ago, after suffering a humiliatingly large dumb tax, it dawned on me that I have a seemingly unlimited ability to hit unforced errors and sabotage my business and financial success. I suspect you do, too. It turns out that the key to getting rich (and staying that way) is to avoid doing stupid things. I don't need to do more smart things. I just need to make fewer dumb mistakes. The vast majority of our dumb tax is a direct result of emotional, overly optimistic, and poorly thought out decisions.

What a fantastic business book
Revisado: 08-22-23
I average about 15-20 books of various business/economic a year, and while that isn't a ton compared to most- This book has had a lasting impression on me. First off, it gives you a road map on how to think. Secondly, it compartmentalizes on *what* to think about. Then, Keith gives you key points to think about on each chapter. It was phenomenal to read this book with a logical and pragmatic approach of how to run a business, how to manage employees, and most importantly- how to hold people accountable. I highly recommend it, and it's one of my top 5 business books I've read over the last 10 years.

a teenager who just learned to swear, wrote it
Revisado: 08-15-22
I'm not opposed to swearing, I do it a lot myself. the book had an obscene amount of it, though. I couldn't connect the dots with some of the rap lyrics and why they're in there in the first place. I was ][ close to killing it about 45 min in, but have listened to worse books, so stuck it out. the second half of the book was pretty decent over employees and management advice - but because of how of course and "street" it was, it's not like I would enthusiastically recommend it to someone I know

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.
