Thoroughly Engaging Read
Revisado: 12-25-23
This story was hard to stop listening to with the historically interesting detail which was based on true events. The characters were real and instantly felt like friends. It was a great reminder that often God brings unexpected blessings when we commit our future to Him. Enjoyed the narrator very much also.

Loved it
Revisado: 10-28-22
Okay - so I was really thinking the story was going to be done here and was okay with that since it had stagnated
!!!!!but!!!!!!
This book actually really opened up some much better new /next steps for Zack!
The last 6 hours were far more entertaining than the 30 hours before it which means this story has totally revived and I can’t wait for the next book!!
Thanks for sticking with the writing/narration guys!

Raised as an orphan by her aunt, Chariline has only been told a few pieces of her parents’ tragic love story. Her beautiful dark skin is proof that her father was Cushite, but she knows nothing else. While visiting her grandfather before his retirement as the Roman official in the queen’s court, Chariline overhears that her father is still alive, and discovering his identity becomes her obsession. Both her grandfather and the queen have reasons for keeping this secret, however, and forbid her quest. So Chariline sneaks on the ship of a merchant trusted by friends.

Wonderful Story
Revisado: 08-30-21
Tessa Afshar once again writes a wonderful story of God’s faithful love and our need to humble ourselves and seek His guidance. God’s plans are always for our good and He delights to bless us. I did struggle with the voice the narrator used for Caroline but the beauty of the story won out.

Amazing Mystery

Such a well written and acted book. So many plausible suspects kept me analyzing the whole way through. Loved the main characters’ vulnerability and growth through the story. If you can stand prolonged suspense I highly recommend this book.

Engaging with unique world
Revisado: 12-05-19
A socialistic Dwarven Society, an unlikely hero, a council of unknown loyalty, and a beautifully built world for all the twists and turns the author has thought out. Well narrated by Mike Cannes who’s characters and mastering did the book justice!

Appreciated the well thought out characters. The depth given to the guys emotions was welcome. Hope the next book gets more heat but it would be unrealistic to expect full on gang bang this early in a series.

I don’t know why but when an author starts a love story in a brothel it seems to make the love and respect harder to earn but so rewarding. Great job with the narration Meghan Kelly, can’t wait for your next read!
