What made the experience of listening to Going Home the most enjoyable?

I could relate so well to many of the characters. How human kind will react in certain situations. Human nature and less humane nature are found in us all at times.

What did you like best about this story?

Action kept me tuned in and wanting to know what's next.

What does Duke Fontaine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoyed his narration and thought he did an excellent job. He sure fit the bill!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Today you can be almost anywhere in hours but to get home you must first survive.

Warning for those who are uneasy with same sex sex

What disappointed you about Swordspoint?

None of the reviews I read mentioned same sex sex scenes.

Has Swordspoint turned you off from other books in this genre?

Only if they have same sex sex scenes.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Haven't listened much - chapter 7 or 8 so far and I've enjoyed the performance style.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Swordspoint?

I wouldn't say any need to be cut for those who aren't bothered by same sex sex. It just unsettles me and I wish there was a warning so I could move on...

The story just didn't grab me. I couldn't relate to any of it though I tried several times!

Would you ever listen to anything by Gena Showalter again?

mmmmmmmm I always hate saying never...

Would you be willing to try another one of Jessica Almasy’s performances?

Yes. I enjoyed the WWW series.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Got as far as chapter 7 but it just was not for me. Maybe someone else...

Would you consider the audio edition of My Life as a White Trash Zombie to be better than the print version?

Haven't read the print version.

If I had to compare to another book it would be Pride and Prejudice and Zombies but the characters in this book are able to live among us!

No. But she did a fine job.

The name is perfect and "made me look"...

What made the experience of listening to The Clan of the Cave Bear the most enjoyable?

I loved being transported back in time to an age when understanding was a new concept and tribe and obedience to the law was essential to life. Makes you think...

What did you like best about this story?

The heroine stood up for her beliefs and survived to prove her justice.

What aspect of Sandra Burr’s performance would you have changed?

She did a fine job. I have been spoiled to others abilities to really characterize.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I pretty much kept my head phones on for hours and listened in my car every chance I got!

Any additional comments?

I read this series years ago after being told of it by a sibling. Several in my family enjoyed it and consider it a classic. I LOVE the Audible aspect of listening on my I-pod as I go about my day and was glad to revisit this old friend of a book!

What about Katherine Kellgren’s performance did you like?

I was saddened to read a poor review by someone else which prompted me to write one myself! I LOVE Katherine Kellgren and since falling in love with her Bloody Jack characters have searched her out and will continue listening and enjoying her narration! Keep up your excellent work Katherine, I enjoy you SOOOOO!

PLEASE advise of sexual content!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I only wish there had been even a HINT regarding the sexual content in this story so I wouldn't have used one of my precious credits on it. I should have read ALL the reviews instead of the first few. Will do that from now on!

What was most disappointing about Madeline Miller’s story?

I prefer heterosexual content.

Yes. With a disclaimer that it stops just as the story is built and you need to go ahead and purchase part 2 or don't even start it.

Did Simon Jones do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I appreciate the skill it takes to create characters in audible form and he made it work here.

Where does The Julius House rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Thank you Charlaine Harris for creating these stories for me to submerge in to. I enjoy your characters and appreciate sharing their lives without having to give advice or listen to their problems. I LOVE being in total control of my visits with them and that makes our times together most enjoyable!
