Historia
Here is the kind of authentically detailed epic novel that has become Louis L’Amour’s hallmark. It is the compelling story of US Air Force major Joe Mack, a man born out of time. When his experimental aircraft is forced down in Russia and he escapes a Soviet prison camp, he must call upon the ancient skills of his Indian forebears to survive the vast Siberian wilderness.

Great story, editing sucks!
Revisado: 08-26-24
The story was very engaging and intriguing. The editing, however, was awful. The majority of the sentences have either the beginning or the end cut off. I believe you’re supposed to listen to a project as you edit it and that was obviously not done in this case.

Historia
RUSTY RANDALL, a young man following his dream of becoming the author of an important work of history, sets out to learn and record the past events which took place on the Whitmire Ranch since its founding in 1890. The ranch’s history of serving as a refuge for outlaws like Butch Cassidy who were on the run in the remote backcountry of the Utah-Colorado border, makes the project interesting and motivates Rusty to work hard every day. Four months into his research, his body is found in a remote part of the LaSal Mountains, a small caliber bullet lodged in his brain. Were there activities ...

Good story, needs to be read by a real person.
Revisado: 07-15-24
The story was good enough to keep me listening in spite of the awful reading done by the computer.

Not as advertised

I would classify this as a fantasy romance rather than historical fiction. Definitely not my cup of tea!

Historia
On March 11, 2011, the Japanese fishing trawler, Hoshi Maru accidentally hauled up something deadly into its live-fish hold. The crew, having discovered their mistake, raced toward the harbor in the hope that they might survive. They never made it. Presumed sunk by the tsunami that ravaged the coastline of Japan, its crew were declared dead. Seven years later, the shipwreck washed up on Cannon Beach, Oregon. By the time the US department of fish and wildlife arrived to investigate, people in the nearby towns had started to die in terrifying and inexplicable ways.

Good stories!
Revisado: 12-05-21
I enjoy the stories, but the author has zero knowledge of firearms and it was almost distracting to the stories. Crosshairs on a shotgun? Magazines in a service revolver? The hammer dropping on an empty chamber with a semi automatic?
