It was okay
Revisado: 07-14-24
The virtual voice was okay. It only threw me off a few times with who was speaking but I was able to quickly get it. The plot was a cute story…but the execution was weird. The way characters said things or acted was weird. For example I don’t really get along with my mother and there is history there but I never called her by her first name. MMC is close with his mom but yet calls her Emma and then randomly calls her mom once. The whole situation with his ex was weirder behavior too. Just fair warning the author is not clear on timelines. I think it would have been better if she covered a month to a month and half of them becoming enemies to lovers then epilogue after they get married and cover. Instead she glossed over parts didn’t have clear time lapses and dropped huge relationship bombs like bam we are all the sudden saying I love you. I think the author had something going with a cute story but it just got lost.

Cute story really bad voice acting
Revisado: 01-08-24
The story is really cute. I haven’t read a story by Callie Hutton that I haven’t liked. The voice acting especially for the male is so bad. It was cringe worthy at some points. Nash is only 30 and the voice actor makes him sound like he is in his 70’s while Arabella sounds like she is 16. The love scenes were disturbing. Then some of the way the lines were read were so off. Example: they are being intimate and it was read like they were having tea talking about the weather. Honestly, I wish I just read it physically. The only kudos is that I could tell the characters apart. That is the only reason I gave it a 2.

Historia
In this revelatory biography, Evan Thomas delivers a radical, unique portrait of America’s 37th president, Richard Nixon, a contradictory figure who was both determinedly optimistic and tragically flawed. One of the principal architects of the modern Republican Party and its “silent majority” of disaffected whites and conservative ex-Dixiecrats, Nixon was also deemed a liberal in some quarters for his efforts to desegregate Southern schools, create the Environmental Protection Agency, and end the draft.

Really Good Book
Revisado: 01-29-20
When I went to the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda I wondered how someone could go from who he was morally to do what he did with Watergate. This book really did a great job of capturing who Nixon was.
The only issue I had was that this book jumped around a lot chronologically, and this book name dropped often. My advice would be to look at the people that were around him and when so you are more guided at the time period the author is writing about.
Other than that it was an enjoyable book.

It's a great listen.
Revisado: 05-11-17
Carolyn McCormick does a wonderful job reading. The main protagonist's character is a little confusing. You would think that she would be smart and mature for her age, but a few times in the story she seems like a lost 12 year old girl. It doesn't match up well with the leading male characters that seem like young men that are as mature as the author originally paints our leading lady. Other than that the writing is beautiful. It is very descriptive and flows well. Despite the confusing maturity of Katniss Everdeen I would still recommend it to anyone that likes action and sci-fi.

I enjoyed this short story.
Revisado: 10-12-16
The narrator did a wonderful job. The story was interesting, and I learned some facts about New Orleans. The protagonist seemed very relatable. Sometimes the characters would act illogical and fake to show the characters personality, and as a result, I was drawn out of the story. As a reader I would think no one, especially a cop in Harlem, New York, would behave that way or say that. The story was good, I just wished for a little more horror and terror.
