As a Reading Specialist, embarking into the Orton-Gillingham Academy Associate Level Practicum this month. Maryanne Wolf’s Proust and the Squid was the perfect book and audiobook to prepare my brain for my dyslexic students with whom I tutor. I needed to know the “how” and “why” of the reading brain and of the dyslexic brain. This book satisfies my inquisitive researcher brain.

Listened while getting Chemotherapy

I listened to The Good Nurse while getting Chemotherapy. My wonderful infusion nurses asked me if I felt strange reading a book about a nurse who took lives while being hooked up to hanging bags that sustain my life. I told them that I felt the love and compassion each time I am with them. They understood.

The Good Nurse is excellent, very thorough and concise. The research behind the book always fascinates me. The story is a frightening non-fiction mystery, with the reader often begging for hospital authorities to wake up, look and listen, and mostly, stop worrying about the legal ramifications, and start caring for the patients in the hospital. Ultimately, this is the true bottom line.

My favorite book of all times

To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book of all times. Reading it from hard copy in the past has been very special; listening to this cherished tome, performed by Sissy Spacek, was simply a delectable gift.

The book, with your voice on the written page, as well as orally through my phone, only sealed my devotion to you as my favorite detective on television.

With a family member who is a CSI, DNA Analyst, brilliant and beautiful; with a very dry and quirky sense of humor, I understand the calling that becomes your life on the job.

Thank you, Mr Kenda, for sharing your career and personal stories. I enjoyed every minute of your book.

Riveting!

I loved the storyline. I've read every fiction-based book written by Mr. Rosenberg, and, like each one previous, The Third Target certainly pleases a whet appetite. The protagonist, J.B. Collins, is witness to end times prophecy while wrestling with his growing childhood faith.
My only question now...when will the next book in the series be published!!!
I'm hooked!

Awesome epic

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this amazing epic that spanned several generations. The descriptive vocabulary and medical procedures were educational journeys in themselves. I look so forward to the movie, keeping in mind that the characters, and their thought processes, are so hard to capture on film, especially the great depth of each character in this novel.

You will love this insightful tale (tail)!

I simply loved every minute of this wonderfully story, from the insightful human interactions, to the touching canine perspective of "man's best friend." I laughed and cried aloud, and just couldn't turn off my Kindle. The narrator, George Wilson's mellow, reassuring voice particularly gave life to each purposeful dog as it was reincarnated throughout recognizable points in recent history, and human characters who shared the joys and sadnesses of living in our complicated world.
