My dietitian recommended a podcast to me by Dr. Josh Turknett which compelled me to buy this book, “The Migraine Miracle.” Having chronic migraine for 20 years has made me unable to read very much, so I was glad I could get the audio version. But after listening to the book I knew I needed the paper edition as well for reference. I am still looking for my migraine miracle, nut this book has given me hope.

I love Chris Hogan. I’ve loved him ever since I attended Financial Counselor training, which he mentioned in this book. He has one of those voices which would make me listen if he read the phone book. In addition to that he has great financial advice and amusing anecdotes in this book.

I am not one to try new authors unless someone has recommended them to me, but I really fell on my feet when I found Jacqueline Winespear. Her Maisie Dobbs book was well written with no vulgar language or sex scenes all of which are very important to me. When I saw Michael York was reading this book, I had to buy it and I was not disappointed at all. I love Michael York as an actor and he is absolutely brilliant as the narrator of this book! “Endurance” is one of the best books I’ve ever read. There is adventure, excitement, danger, and boredom wrapped up into one non-fiction book! The narrated, Simon Prebble, is excellent as well. While not being monotone, he does not let his emotions show through. The bonus is that he does different accents and voices even though there is little if any dialogue. But the listener can discern whose journal entry belongs to whom just from Mr. Prebble’s accents and vocal changes.
