A disastrous debate, a would-be assassin’s bullet, an electrifying eleventh hour candidate swap, dramatic and surprising VP selections, betrayals behind closed doors, charges of a stolen election, game-changing blunders—the history-making 2024 presidential election is a political saga of Shakespearean proportions. In minute-by-minute detail, esteemed White House historian and political analyst Chris Whipple chronicles the unprecedented drama as it unfolds.

Cope without change
Revisado: 04-21-25
Nothing new to see here, unless one is coming out of a coma. Sure, there are different tidbits of beta male has-beens and failed-up girl boss malcontents echoing a mix of the obvious and oblivious in intriguingly equal measures (in other words, Whipple had great access to Jill Brandon White House), but, overall, the author’s discredited worldview and smug unmerited sense of moral superiority drips through a storyline that ChatGPT could have outlined and flushed out with equal or greater macro-narrative insight. Whipple characteristically feigns a modicum of inch-deep objectivity but spends roughly a third of his tedious word count echoing more than enough bromides of the democrat has-been comms class and discredited Pravda-style “fact checks” (more than enough to make sure all of the irrelevant septuagenarians still know he is part of the respectable “side of history”). A few enjoyable tidbits:
- Whipple appears to believe “Tampon Tim” is a reference drawn from Tampon’s “support for women’s reproductive rights” (a diabolical verbal avoidance of what is support for judicial subversion of the Constitution in service of industrialized infanticide).
- Whipple doesn’t think Kamala was the Border Czar (I know - very fun!)
- Whipple is very creative, even for his caste, at attributing “racism” and “authoritarianism” to things that even some of the vilest leftists have heretofore failed to attempt.
Needless to say, largely a non-contribution to political history, but Whipple’s access was impressive. His interview notes would potentially be interesting in the hands of a more honest broker.

Nazis & Reds: A Chronology of the Prewar Years, is the first installment in The Protocols series, a series chronicling the rise of authoritarianism in the modern era from the Industrial Revolution to the implementation of the Final Solution in January 1942. The focus of Nazis & Reds is primarily the 1930s, a decade remarkably similar to our own. Like all the books in the series, Nazis & Reds is the continuing story of people caught in events. It is composed of carefully annotated excerpts taken from diaries, memoirs, newspaper and magazine articles, speeches, trial records, situation ...

This “book” is performed by cheap/free AI and is mostly footnotes read partially as math equations. Very basic grade 3-5 level facts mostly just wiki style platitudes about Germany. A waste of time. Also - there seems to be some insinuation of orange man is like mustache man. Also seems blissfully unaware of the utter catastrophe that was FDR’s economic policy. It’s a mix of boomer cringe and 2006 millennial book report - D+.

God bless Israel and Objective Moral Clarity
Revisado: 10-17-24
What an incredible experience. The author is a good man, and I understand the need to develop sources given his posting. That said, this “mindfulness” devotee makes many perilous verbal frolics into the realms of false equivalence and moral obfuscation. The foregoing is not intentional, likely the result of human-to-human proximity with Gaza’s many victims of Hamas. Any regard for the lives of Arab Muslim guests in Israel’s quarantined areas requires the recognition of two the things and resolute commitment to the same: 1.) Hamas, Hezbollah and all Islamist groups must cease to exist - decades and centuries may pass, but this is the goal of every legitimate power on earth - to jot share it is to relinquish human legitimacy. 2.) An Arab Muslim state in former Roman Palestine is, im addition to having always been wholly unmerited and unnecessary, a prospect that must remain absolute off the table forever. Arab Muslims must be deprived of the human beings they have long relied upon for legitimacy. If a state on earth has a name that begins with “Islamic” then it’s illegitimacy can only be temporarily semi-mitigated and semi-tolerated to the extent it relieves Israel of this multi-generational suicidal no-cost to to non-Gazan Muslims human tragedy. There is only One Triune God. Christus Vincit! Christus Regnat! Christus Imperat! Miriam Queen of Heaven and Earth and of Peace and Victory, protect all Muslims from Islam and petition the Holy Spirit to liberate Muslims in and by your Son, bring faith to Jews and Gentiles, oh Holy Mother of God. Saint Michael the Archangel, Defend Us in Battle! Saint Joseph, Most Humble and Chaste Spouse of the Immaculately Conceived Crown of Creation, Seat of Wisdom, Tower of David, Ark of the New Covenant, your beloved Mary, you served your Creator and Savior as His earthly father, Christ’s Vicars in every Age have called you “Terror of Demons” - PRAY FOR US!

He was greatly influenced by the Ayatullah and converted from Maiki Sunni practice to Shi'a Ithna Ashari practice. This is the story of his conversion. He cites great logic and references.

Islam is false & Vapid
Revisado: 10-11-24
It is so terribly sad to see how impotent the pseudo-historical account of Islam’s early days still cripples its victims on both sides of the sectarian divide. Ignorance is the rule, and infantile moral thinking the obsession. Jesus is God and is only means of salvation. Habemus Papam!

Amid the many catastrophes of the 20th century, the Spanish Civil War continues to exert a particular fascination among history buffs and the layperson alike. This Very Short Introduction integrates the political, social, and cultural history of the Spanish Civil War. It sets out the domestic and international context of the war for a general audience. In addition to tracing the course of war, the book locates the war's origins in the cumulative social and cultural anxieties provoked by a process of rapid, uneven, and accelerating modernism taking place all over Europe.

Title says enough, but basically a very one-sided and simplistic approach. Particularly unfair to the Catholic Church. Presumes liberal-democracy productive of socialism and secularism as the exclusively, eternally, and universally valid form of polity. Agenda-driven, one-sided and bitter.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was founded by Joseph Smith in 1830 in the so-called "burned-over district" of upstate New York, which was producing seers and prophets daily. Most of the new creeds flamed out; Smith's would endure, becoming the most significant homegrown religion in American history. In American Zion Benjamin E. Park presents a fresh, sweeping account of the Latter-day Saints.

Nevermo Catholic: Decent History + Some Leftism
Revisado: 08-06-24
This was fine. There is baseless and hateful anti-conservative rhetoric towards the end. That said, the author implicitly acknowledges that Mormonism has never been what it purports to be (the true church or ancient or unchanging), and it will be interesting to see how the ultra-post-modern bent of even “orthodox” LDS apologists (the field of objective reality having been surrendered of necessity) will continue to turn the LDS into a liberal “church”. Blessedly, as we’ve seen with liberal protestantism, that will decimate whatever is actually left of active Mormonism in short order. My prayer is that Mormons will discover the Triune God and His One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Trust me, there is great joy in not having to hold your breath while studying history.

America is undergoing a massive experiment: It is moving, in fits and starts, toward a multiracial democracy, something few societies have ever done. But the prospect of change has sparked an authoritarian backlash that threatens the very foundations of our political system. Why is democracy under assault here, and not in other wealthy, diversifying nations? And what can we do to save it?

Unoriginal, unpersuasive, uninteresting projection
Revisado: 03-21-24
I read this book with an open mind and high hopes for a work of political thought which my help me see a new perspective presented with self-awareness and a openness to reduce political disfunction. As a conservative Republican with many year’s experience in law and politics, I know much of the thrust of this book’s “case” is based on unfounded presuppositions, rank reductionist and anachronistic bromides - it’s not that get nothing right, but they have no curiosity about complexity of almost kind, let alone something as integral to constitutional theory as the varied supposed sources and validity of the purposes of government. of However, the worldview of the authors on display in this book is a solid demonstration of the shamelessness with which a minority of insulated leftists will gaslight and refuse to see the role the left has always and - by its nature - will always play in self-government - including by their embrace of bigotry, unaccountable statism and unilateral turning up of the temperature with regard to norms. These guys have a hatred for their fellow countrymen and purvey a putrid and fallacious idolatry for participation as purpose - and for what they incorrectly suppose will always or even usually be the result of the same. I read much with which I disagree, but this was a profitless waste of time and intellectual opportunity cost.

The trauma that our world experienced in recent years—as result of both the pandemic and societal tensions that threaten to overwhelm us—has been unprecedented and is not going away anytime soon. It is clear that existing political and economic systems are not enough to bring the change that the world needs. In this book, Rainn Wilson explores the possibility and hope for a spiritual revolution, a “Soul Boom” in order to address today’s greatest issues—mental health, racism and sexism, climate change, and economic injustice.

Not: the Way; the Truth; the Life
Revisado: 01-25-24
The Bahai faith is a modern invention (not unlike Mormonism but just based off the other latter day misogynistic false prophet warlord). It promises all circles have three sides and all triangles have 8, 5, 3 and especially 9. A charitable reading would be that Rainn Wilson is a talented actor who is profoundly misinformed and has innocently decided to believe all the things Islamists and Marxists require for his role. Under this scenario, he is just unaware of how tired and discredited his bromides actually are (and thinks he is so cool that maybe if he says them people will know all the things he knows how to say). To be honest, I don’t think an uncharitable reading is necessary nor likely to be on point, given what I believe to good - albeit meaningless - intentions on Rainn’s part. Jesus is God and founded the Catholic Church. Humans are Imago Dei and under Original Sin. Jesus is the Way. The Truth. The Life. Viva Cristo Rey! Christus Vincit! Christus Regnat! Christus Imperat! Repent and believe the Gospel! May the Triune God Bless Rainn and all who are called to partake of the Life of the Trinity!
