Historia
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

My disappointment at the story
Revisado: 08-26-24
Rushed, no character development, and improbable plot — very disappointing from these authors (filler to reach 15 words)

Another good tale with Mickey, Harry, and crew
Revisado: 12-03-23
Great tale well told. Enjoyed relationship between the half brothers, and found their career turns interesting. Connelly finally sheds some light on Harry’s actual age, which I think adds to story. I’m looking forward to next adventure in which I trust Connelly will address how all the characters fit into Mickey’s new direction.

Historia
Polly, Annie, Elizabeth, Catherine, and Mary-Jane are famous for the same thing, though they never met. What they had in common was the year of their murders: 1888. The person responsible was never identified, but the character created by the press to fill that gap has become far more famous than any of these five women. For more than a century, newspapers have been keen to tell us that "the Ripper" preyed on prostitutes. Not only is this untrue, as historian Hallie Rubenhold has discovered, but it has prevented the real stories of these fascinating women from being told.

I liked it especially in the audio book format!
Revisado: 10-19-22
I enjoyed revisiting Cormoran and Robin and the whole crew in this interesting and very modern tale. I am told that the insertion of online posts and private Internet messages in the story made reading the book a little less entertaining. I thought the reader did an excellent job keeping the flow and denoting the messages so that the story flowed smoothly and like it was intended. Very much a personal adventure between the two main characters, who are approaching that fish or cut bait point in their own relationship. One of them needs to just say it … soon.

Fantastic read — a little history and a lot of good advice!
Revisado: 09-13-21
I truly enjoyed this book. Smart, insightful, and funny — well researched and honest. The author has inspired me to reread those works of Poe I read years ago and to reach further into Poe’s works that I have not yet read, all with a new understanding of his life. And now I have one more tool to use when faced with my own life problems — the question, “what would Poe do?”

Good book made better by narrator
Revisado: 07-29-21
I enjoyed the book very much. The story moved along although some details of time could have helped. A fresh look at flying commercial from the attendants' view (in a professional and not sordid way). Steven Weber remains one of my favorite narrators, and he brings lots of life to an already lively story.
