Historia
How we fight predicts the future of our relationships. Most of us blunder into conflict without knowing what we are really fighting about and then quickly become overwhelmed by physiological responses we can’t control and emotions we don’t anticipate. The truth is the happiest and most successful couples fight—all the time. Conflict is human, and necessary.

This wonderful little book is a tale of our individual and collective awakening into the experience of being authentically ourselves and fully awake to life. It is an allegory of the journey from the free-flowing aliveness we were born with, into the confines of our minds, and then re-awakening to the experience of that aliveness within us.

I appreciate the author’s work. The story was meaningful. The narration was good by the author. The editing was not professional only really noticeable at the beginning and the ending.

Historia
Our world is becoming increasingly connected, and not only because of technology. More and more people are waking up to our energetic and spiritual interconnectedness as well. While this can be a beautiful blessing, if you’re an empath, and especially if you work in a healing profession, all this interconnection can feel more like overconnection - leaving you feeling drained, burned out, and at the mercy of the energies around you.

Inspiring and bereft
Revisado: 12-20-21
Listening to the book inspires me to learn more about the process. The book references figures and even an epilogue with resources for guided open focus without a PDF and the epilogue was not spoken. The narrator had a few out of sync pauses and was relatively monotone. The book did not have specific guidelines or principles to facilitate the process.

Historia
Each generation of therapists can boast of only a few writers like Deborah Luepnitz, whose sympathy and wit shine in her fine, luminous prose. In Schopenhauer's Porcupines, she recounts five true stories from her practice, stories of patients who range from the super-rich to the destitute, who grapple with panic attacks, psychosomatic illness, marital despair, and sexual recklessness. Intimate, original, and triumphantly funny, Schopenhauer's Porcupines goes further than any other book in illuminating "how talking helps".
