Eh. Michael Kramer would've been way better
Revisado: 08-03-24
Some of the performers sounded off in their timing and demeanor. The others did a great job. But after hearing Michael Kramer read a section of this book in Arcanum Unbounded, I just couldn't go back. I finished this volume and still continue with the story, but man do I wish they had a version with just Kramer reading. He's so on point and perfectly executes every character. Who knows? Maybe someday.

A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them. And David wants in. Fantastic!!
Revisado: 01-17-24
I can't believe this guy! Brandon's an f'n machine. I love his works in the Cosmere in both the Mistborn and the Stormlight Archive series. Two completely different fantasy series in their own right. To be able to go from that kind of mind-blowing fantasy, seamlessly right into a detailed sci fi epic with all the trimmings, is a feat many readers cannot even begin to appreciate. Many authors try and fail in a single genre. Brandon Sanderson excels at anything he puts his hands on. From the very beginning, I was hooked on this read. It reminds me of The Boys. Dark, in your face, engaging, unapologetic, awesome! 🔥🔥🔥 I can't wait to get down on the rest of the books in this series while I wait for Wind and Truth.

The eternal question of nature vs nurture is at the centre of Dr Diane Buckley’s world. Not as bad as others say
Revisado: 01-07-24
Seriously, the plot is well put together. The voice acting was well done. The background sounds and music were good. I enjoyed it. The ADHD society of today just doesn't have any patience to allow a good story to unfold in due time.

Revisado: 07-26-23
This was such an awesome "podcast". I just couldn't stop listening. I even gave it a second go after the first. The acting is on point. The sound effects and music go perfectly with everything going on. You can totally see everything in your mind as Koz infiltrates one of the baddest biker gangs in the country. No seatbelts for this one baby. We're riding Fatboy Hogs with twin shotguns strapped to the back. Get ready for one hell of a ride. Can't wait for the next one!

Fantastic and thoroughly researched!!

Everywhere the man turned, the establishment kept trying to stump his research. From refusing diving permits to purposely mixing up dates on dives so they could miss them altogether. It's clear as day that he's on to something. Excellent read!

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Talk about a reality check!! So much of what we take for granted in our communications is so wrong and can be taken so many different ways. Be humble and courteous. The rest is RNG.

Another work of art!
Revisado: 12-22-16
I can't express enough, how successful this series is. Robert Jordan was truly a master at his craft. The gradual character development in the books leaves you chomping at the bit to find out exactly how they're going to emerge. The rich and intricate histories and cultures of each nation have been thoroughly thought out and designed. Nothing is left to be desired in these books.

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

Another Masterpiece!!
Revisado: 01-08-16
I first heard of Brandon Sanderson when I learned that the great Robert Jordan had died and that Brandon would be finishing his Wheel of Time series. I never had the opportunity to enjoy those books, since I was so entrenched in the Sword of Truth series at the time. My world changed, however, when I was introduced to the Stormlight Archive series. Brandon instantly became one of my all time favorite fantasy authors.
I can literally write for days on how good this book is, but I'm a bit short on time. I've already bought book two and will be kicking it off immediately!
Edit: Just finished Well of Ascension!! Do it to yourselves!! Go now!!
