I recommend this book to anyone I come across that is struggling to get their lives in order.

I truly believe in 50 years people will be speaking of Frued, Jung, and Peterson.

EPIC AND ORIGINAL!

One of the things that draws me to these stories is the fact that the punches aren't being held. I hurt so much reading this for all the tragedy and loss but I marvel at the  struggle of life and death. I love how the author is painting the story of them losing everything and never giving in, always fighting back even when it would be so easy to give in. That’s what I want for my little girl to learn when she reads these books. That’s why I chose Reigns story for her namesake. It’s what I feel we need to take with us in life, fight back no matter how bad it hurts and stand up. This is the stuff of legends and what makes an epic story. The author has outdone himself. I love how the magic systems are developing and the sheer magnitude of the possibilities. Right before Reign fought Dralghus, the image of her was absolutely perfect. I am positively fiending for the next book. I can’t wait to see whats going to happen and to learn what fresh hell awaits our hero’s. Thank you for your story Jacob!

I purchased the original copie and when I heard about the re-write I thought I would just wait until the next book in the series came out. And thus, after many years, it came to be lol.

Wow I wish I would have gotten the re-write sooner.
Some of my favorite scenes were changed and I still loved them! The story became so much deeper, there’s so much more possibility now. Characters that were somewhat over shadowed now have prominent roles and the character development is even better than before. A few moderate changes probably saved years of work and waiting for fans.

I love this story so much that I named my first daughter after Reign. It's the story of getting kicked and kicked but still getting back up. The heartbreak and tragedy in this series is real, that's what makes it so authentic to me.. Some of the scenes in this book rival R. Jordan's WoT, Dumai's wells and B. Sanderson's Mistborne when Vin killed the tyrant. Truly an epic and our author is swinging with the giants of the genre. We'll worth the read if your looking for something that strikes the soul.

somewhat predictable

The narration was solid even though I'm not really a fan of Evans voice, she always does great work.

I find the story predictable and I feel that the writer doesn't really understand cruelty. what she paints as cruel just feels generic to me.

I think the story would have been better served if she would have focused more on the story and catered less to the sex appeal of the audience. not that I mind the fun bits of course but it overshadows the story to me.
