Historia
This is a very good read. It is the first novel in an action-packed multi-book military saga that follows the life of a combat soldier from his early years in the Korean War to his middle age in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere in Israel and the middle east in wars that are in the immediate future. It is fast paced and action-oriented as casualties and a willingness to sign up for additional front line tours and new wars result in Roberts shouldering responsibilities far beyond his years. Fans of WEB Griffin, Larry Bond, Tom Clancy, and Harold Coyle will enjoy this great addition ...

Could’ve been better
Revisado: 11-05-24
Virtual Voice was too dry and unemotional for this. It would be better suited for academic or technical readings. The writing was ok

Historia
They say Black Dow's killed more men than winter and clawed his way to the throne of the North up a hill of skulls. The King of the Union, ever a jealous neighbor, is not about to stand smiling by while he claws his way any higher. The orders have been given, and the armies are toiling through the northern mud. Thousands of men are converging on a forgotten ring of stones, on a worthless hill, in an unimportant valley, and they've brought a lot of sharpened metal with them.

Historia
Somewhere on the frontier between thought and reality exists the Discworld, a parallel time and place that might sound and smell very much like our own, but which looks completely different. Particularly as it’s carried though space on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown). It plays by different rules. But then, some things are the same everywhere. The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Great for someone that needs inspiration
Revisado: 08-22-21
This book is a bit on the nose and packed with flying terms showing the authors love of piloting. I recommend for a younger person that could use some inspiring or an adult that likes allegorical tales. The music was unnecessary tho; incongruous with the way it chops the parts up

Historia
In one of the most compelling combat narratives ever written, Staff Sergeant David Bellavia, an Army infantry platoon leader in Iraq, gives a teeth-rattling, first-hand account of 11 straight days of heavy house-to-house fighting during the climactic second battle of Fallujah. His actions in the firefight, which included killing five insurgents in hand-to-hand combat, earned Bellavia the Bronze Star, the Silver Star, and New York state's highest military honor, the Conspicuous Service Cross.

Historia
In this definitive history of the modern Arab world, award-winning historian Eugene Rogan draws extensively on Arab sources and texts to place the Arab experience in its crucial historical context for the first time. Tracing five centuries of Arab history, Rogan reveals that there was an age when the Arabs set the rules for the rest of the world. Today, however, the Arab world's sense of subjection to external powers carries vast consequences for both the region and Westerners who attempt to control it.

Too many workplaces are driven by cynicism, paranoia, and self-interest. But the best ones foster trust and cooperation because their leaders build what Sinek calls a "Circle of Safety" that separates the security inside the team from the challenges outside. Sinek illustrates his ideas with fascinating true stories that range from the military to big business, from government to investment banking.

Revisado: 03-11-20
This book is so complete! Simon did a fantastic job of bringing in a holistic approach to leadership and life in general. And as a Marine, I feel vindicated in my leadership style that at sometimes seems out of place in a job that’s run by managers of corporation. I will certainly be recommending this book to my company for a company wide book recommendation at the next managers conference

Buyer beware! This book is deceptive; it doesn’t say it but this book is a Christian sermon and not a proper self help book. It has scant psychological backing and relies entirely on the Christian faith to support the message.

This was the only Star Wars book of this author I've enjoyed and I think it's largely due to its relevance to the Plagueis book. There are too many references to things outside the Star Wars universe to keep me immersed like references to coffee and so on. He's an excellent thriller writer and quite... descriptive, but...

I hate to be so harsh but...
Revisado: 08-15-16
I requested a refund. The plot of Star Wars meets zombies was forced and inorganic. The story didn't follow the Star Wars narrative; making references to apes and angels and so on. The performance was flat and unemotional. The effects were repetitive and obnoxious. The ONLY saving grace was the brief insight into the workings of a Jedi in the AgriCorp. I love Star Wars and I like zombies, but this was hamfisted and disappointing.
