I am so glad I discovered this podcast and will actually watch or rewatch movies before listening to an episode. The narrator is extremely expert on the subject and I love her takes. The only issue, and it's a significant one, is her bizarre overpronunciation of consonants. At first, I thought maybe she lived abroad since that was what happened to me temporarily after living and teaching in France for several years. However, I've heard her in recent interviews and she sounds "normal". Because the overpronunciation of her t's are the most jarring, it's definitely hard to keep hearing her say "erotic eighties"! Karina, please stop doing this! Otherwise, I love everything about this. 😀

This is the stuff no one talks about. my mom died a year ago and no grief books seemed to apply to my situation and I've been left with just feeling guilt because I can't feel like she's been a great mom - because she wasn't. In my mind, this is one of the greatest taboos: not being able to admit that some parents should not have been parents. Thanks for this episode. I'm actually going to play a clip of it for my therapist when we have our next session.

Chelsea, Catherine, and guests are great. The conversation is both real and entertaining. I look forward to this each week.

I listened to one episode about HELOCs and was really turned off. One of the guys seemed reasonable but the other just seemed to be bragging about how well off and smart he was. He also seemed to be blaming homeowners who got into a tough situation because they didn't prepare for it. Not everyone makes a ton of money like this guy. Some people don't WANT debt but had a home catastrophe - for me it's plumbing. I was looking for some sound advice, but instead felt insulted. I would actually think HELOCs are there for people with plumbing issues ...not for braggarts using them to acquire new properties, but what do I know?

I couldn't watch this documentary as it was a bit too icky for me, but the commentary from Tig and Cheryl was so funny and I thank them for struggling through it FOR me 😀
