Real Application of Personal Finance

I listened to one episode about HELOCs and was really turned off. One of the guys seemed reasonable but the other just seemed to be bragging about how well off and smart he was. He also seemed to be blaming homeowners who got into a tough situation because they didn't prepare for it. Not everyone makes a ton of money like this guy. Some people don't WANT debt but had a home catastrophe - for me it's plumbing. I was looking for some sound advice, but instead felt insulted. I would actually think HELOCs are there for people with plumbing issues ...not for braggarts using them to acquire new properties, but what do I know?

Judgmental and haughty
