Historia
Kidnappers grabbed Jenna in broad daylight, right in front of her children and their horrified classmates. Her family was issued an insane ransom demand: $25 million in cash and jewels, payable by the end of the school day, otherwise they’ll never see her again. As Jenna’s mother scrambles to gather the money, detectives Mo Butler and George Ortega follow the trail of the kidnappers, which will lead them through a sordid landscape of jealous lovers, broken dreamers, and twisted schemers. But every second counts, and there’s one thing Jenna Wade doesn’t have: very much time.

I enjoyed the story and appreciated the pace. I didn't see where it was going until it got close to the end. I really got a kick out of the response to the blah, blah, blah from the news anchor. I laughed out loud. Thanks

Revisado: 03-21-25
It was a great historical overview of slavery and the "happy ending" was appreciated! read was somewhat lacking. I understand that the author has a series which I would love to have be made available through Audible.

I'd heard some of it in the past but not in the detail that she shares. I know it's from her perspective but that makes it all a better. I did not realize all that she has done since the Bob Johnson days. She deserves to be proud. I hear she's a challenge to work for but it does sound like she has a clear vision of who she is and what she wants which is important when you really want do something special. I am proud of her and for her , and wonder what it might be like to help to make her dreams come true. You go girl!
