so I'm not mad at this audiobook, even for having a vitual voice narration. But I honestly have to ask the question, is this an experiment by Audible or Lulu Press, to see how well A.I. generated stories do on the open market? if it is, a suggestion would be to expand the stories. Allow a little more character....and monster development. But overall, it's not a bad story.

Audible Should Be Ashamed!!!

The story was good. The narration was meh. The editing was atrocious!!! The fact that Audible allowed a book to be sold with this level of editing is shameful! Start and stops in the in the middle of sentences, rereading lines, in hopes of editing erasing the first read of lines. Clearing of the throat, that's not part of the storyline. Lines clearly changed by the narrator, because he started a line, stopped restarted the line and changed it so the line was easier to say. So many flaws!!! A really good story ruined by lazy editing, and Audible would rather make money, than exhibit standards. I pushed through to the end, and if you can tolerate amateurish editing, I would suggest struggling through it to hear a really good story.

I have always been a fan of Fantasy, but knew nothing about LitRPG, so I was on the fence about this purchase. I'm so glad I rolled the dice on this one. I loved this book and ended up finishing it in a day. It's a great listen and I truly appreciate the pace of the story itself. Now if I could find a little, red shoulder demon of my own, all would be right in this world.

I'm so disappointed in this audiobook. Being the third and final installment, you'd think they would pull out all the stops, but that wasn't the case. The story crawls and the narration is subpar at times. I think I made it through an hour and a half before I quit. I loved the first two, so this review is really heartbreaking for me.

I'm not sure if it was the writing or the added audio effects, but this audiobook was confusing as heck. I don't mind some effects in books, but there were times when so much was going on, I couldn't tell who was saying what. It could be my PTSD, I don't know, but I couldn't get past an hour and a half of this book.

I understand it's post-apocalyptic, but this is NOT scifi, just plain old fiction. I wanted to like it but it just kept getting more and more predictable and overall, mundane. if you like survivalist stories, buy it, but if you are looking for true scifi, look elsewhere.
