Read for book club. The story was sweet and I enjoyed the ending. Disappointed in the use of “virtual voice”. Not only is it a slap in the face to human narrators, but it makes the story incredibly one note. There is no distinction between characters and no expression when reading so it became boring. Mostly, I was just irritated in the use of AI.

First off, this is my number one book of the year. Second, y’all are so dramatic for complaining about Rebecca Soler’s performance. She did an amazing job and I love listening to the books she narrates. I can’t wait for book two! The ending really caught me off guard!
