Historia
Many Americans have condemned the "enhanced interrogation" techniques used in the War on Terror as a transgression of human rights. But the United States has done almost nothing to prosecute past abuses or prevent future violations. Tracing this knotty contradiction from the 1950s to the present, historian Alfred W. McCoy probes the political and cultural dynamics that have made impunity for torture a bipartisan policy of the U.S. government.

seemed to avoid discussing, describing or providing insight from either side into what it would be like to have to withstand the unimaginable. the book repeats itself several times and felt like the author was trying to fill pages as if it were a book report. If society collapsed, could you survive? When Morgan Carter's car breaks down 250 miles from his home, he figures his weekend plans are ruined. But things are about to get much, much worse: the country's power grid has collapsed. story was unfortunately very predictable but still kept me listening and wanting to return. The narrator was excellent, and to be honest I hope to find him in future listens. But with that said
the baby voice, sassy teen voice, little girl voice for any extended time is absolutely brutal. he does ok with (Jess) but oof it just sounds crazy. still worth it tho, just saying
I'd pay the difference in price for a female sounding stand in

Historia
Authors Robin Moore and Michael Lennon team up in this exciting new novel to tell the "fictionalized" stories of the men who have risked it all for the U.S.A.: the Green Berets. They take us from firefights on the Cambodian border during the Vietnam War to the streets and alleyways of Iraq today. They teach us what it was really like to patrol the streets of Mogadishu in the days of Black Hawk Down. They show the horror that was Saddam's Iraq during the first Gulf War. They take us to the moonscape that is Afghanistan in search of the Taliban. The Wars of the Green Berets continues the saga of Moore's classic The Green Berets, revealing more than a few tantalizing secrets and anecdotes for the first time.

Great book , but I have to say it detracts from the story when so many basic, commonly used military acronyms and phrases and locations are mispronounced. I know it seems trivial, but a simple Google search could have solved the problem and not seemed so lazy

As these men suffered in Hanoi, their wives launched an extraordinary campaign that would ultimately spark the POW/MIA movement. When the survivors finally returned, one would receive the Medal of Honor, another became a U.S. Senator, and a third still serves in Congress.

Historia
On his second combat tour, Nick Brokhausen served in Recon Team Habu, CCN. This unit was part of MACV-SOG (Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group), or Studies and Observations Group as it was innocuously called. The small recon companies that were the center of its activities conducted some of the most dangerous missions of the war, infiltrating areas controlled by the North Vietnamese in Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. The companies never exceeded more than 30 Americans, yet they were the best source for the enemy's disposition.

As a Marine and a major history fan this is one of the best told stories on Vietnam I've heard. I've read about 13 and listened to 5 books on Vietnam and this is the one I already have recommend to a friend. God bless those warriors who fought and died in the jungle. The stories of their heroism should to heard by every American
