Overstretched story
Revisado: 05-05-25
I love the narrator, Elisabeth Evans is just amazing and well worth listening anything she might read. However, the story is slow - overstretched, male characters all became melow after falling in love…not my favorite book in this series.
But still worth listening.

Brilliant story about growing up in this messed up world
Revisado: 02-21-25
It is a beautiful story about growing up, dealing with loss and trying to understand the world we live in. Story flows easily and you laugh, cry and cheer for the boy throughout his story.
David Tennant narration is fabulous as always. He brings dynamics to the story and you feel the emotion in his voice. The man is a brilliant narrator.
Strongly recommend this book.

False advertisment
Revisado: 02-15-25
There are people who choose their audiobooks by the narrator - I am those people. David Tennant is one of my favorite narrators, I would listen to him reading shampoo ingredients. Therefore, when you put his picture on the title I expect to hear his voice more than total of 15 minutes in the entire book (if even that much). False advertisement at its best.
The female narrator was very good. She gave us amazing performance. DT was amazing as always, excellent performance as always.
Story is great, captivating and interesting. Topic is amazing and hits all the right spots. It has good twists and it keeps you on your toes to the very end. It is worth listening - however, if you are here to enjoy DT’s voice… well

None of us ever agreed on the exact beginning. Was it when we started drawing the chalk figures, or when they started to appear on their own? Was it the terrible accident? Or when they found the first body?

Interesting story
Revisado: 10-23-23
The story was quite captivating, with a nice plot twist. Some of the parts strongly resemble Stephen King’s IT story, which I found quite interesting.
I read in some of the reviews that people did not enjoy narration of the book. I have to disagree. I loved Andrew Scott narration and did not have any trouble hearing parts he read in a lower voice or whisper and I listened without headphones at this time.
Audiobook worth listening.

Historia
This is the story of one family, one dreamy summer - the summer when everything changes. In a holiday house by the sea, our watchful narrator sees everything, including many things they shouldn’t, as their brother and sisters, parents and older cousins fill hot days with wine and games and planning a wedding. Enter two brothers - irresistible, charming, languidly sexy Kit and surly, silent Hugo. Suddenly there’s a serpent in this paradise - and the consequences will be devastating.

Lately this has been one of my favorite audiobooks. Andrew Scott did an amazing job giving vojces to all the characters in the book, at the same time respecting the pace and atmosphere in the nareative.
I listened this audiobook several times already for the calming and soothing effect of Andrew’s voice, everytime discovering new details in the story and little things I did not pay attention the previous times.
I love this audiobook, and strongly recommend it.

There are dangers and adventures in the graveyard for a boy. But if Bod leaves the graveyard, then he will come under attack from the man Jack - who has already killed Bod's family…

A treasure book
Revisado: 12-25-20
Graveyard Book is one that you fall in love with from the first pages you read. I have read it many times and in different languages and it always brought burst of emotions and endless love for little Bod and the Graveyard folk.
This was the first time I have listened to the story. Wonderful cast brought this phenomenal book to life. You listen to them and if you close your eyes you see them materialise in front of you. Derek Jacobi’s voice carries you effortlessly throughout the story and when it is time to say goodbye you are simply one pile of emotions that are running down your face... and then when you think it is all over Neil Gaiman gives you a story of how book was written and by the end of it you are sobbing and you are happy that you got opportunity to read/listen to this master piece.
This book is a small treasure of our time. Thank you Neil Gaiman for waiting for the right moment to write it for us.

Beautiful
Revisado: 09-03-20
This is such a wonderful book. It is about a special kind of Magic that brings things to life. It is sbout growing up and children’s imagination and way to see the world as the magical place that it actually is.
Carrie Hope Fletcher did wonderful job by giving her voice to Mary, Dickon, Colin and all the others. Her narration is just wonderful and it is such a pleasure to listen to her voice.
It was a real joy to listen to this book and I strongly recommend it.
