Having read most of the authors other works I am comfortable saying this was by far the worst history of worst efforts. The author churns out books at a Herculean rate but this whole series felt like it was written just to keep his rate of book production going. The dialogue was virtually unbearable and the story was just horrendous. I kept thinking he was going to bring it together somehow but each book got worse. I'll look into the author's future works because other than this series his past work has been excellent. The narrator was good but he had nothing to work with here. better luck next time.

interesting premise but...

I'veread lot of books in the genre and by the author. This is by significant margin my least favorite of Akarts work. For me the dialogue between the characters was too cliche and felt corny a lot of the time. In the author's other books I never really got the impression of the campy dialogue. it just feels to me like this book was thrown together as quickly as possible to gey another aeries started. Since I did enjoy the premise of the book it could be I focused more on my issues with the dialogue because the narrator to me was horrendous the production values were fine but the narrator was just terrible somehow a strong-willed accomplished female scientist apparently speaks and sounds like a little girl in distress all the time. I am going to give the second book in the series of shot because again I like the basic story and the premise behind it hopefully some of the issues in this book will be remedied if it's more of the same I don't see how I can make it to book 3

Apocalypse fiction by numbers

Too formulaic for me. I am big fan of the genere and Kevin Pierce but this story is just to by the numbers for me. The heros are entirley too idealized and all the other characters are just cookie cutter. Plot twists and surprises are rare and seen from a mile away. The narrartion is what makes you in anyway involved with the story. There is a great story here but it just wasn't found in this writing

A disaster a human makes for a great story

I really enjoyed Too fat to fish. Artie is a dumpster fire of a guy who's demons continue to get the better of him and he somehow always comes out the other end. No matter how hard he tries to ruin his life you cant help but cheer for the guy. Artie is a funny guy who can tell a story and this is a great memoir. And at the very least you will feel good about yourself because no matter how bad you screw up in your life you never pull an Artie because if you ever did you would most certainly be very very dead. “AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY"

Another great installment in the pandemic series. Left me with a cliffhanger of course so I have to wait for the fourth installment to come out on Audible. Very much looking forward to the conclusion of this fantastic series.

Akart Delivers Again.

Another fast-paced well-researched story from Bobby Akart. it's still not clear to me how he turns out such quality work at the volume that he does. I find myself identifying with the characters which is always the sign of a great novel can't wait to start book 3.

another winner for Akart

I really enjoyed the start of the latest story from Bobby Akart. The two narrators took a little bit of getting used to but once I did the delivery was seamless. I waited a little bit to start this series because I knew I was going to want to go right into the next book based on the author's previous works and didn't want to have to wait to go into books two and three now we have to see if I timed it right to for the release of book 4 on Audible.

Great Novel

What did you like best about this story?

I liked everything about the book not a genre that I would normally listen to but it was so well written that I was riveted through out.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had not listened to this narrator before but the performance was excellent.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was shocked how emotionally attached I became to the characters of this book.

Any additional comments?

Highly recommend this book and cant wait to hear future works of this great author.
