Historia
A weekly newspaper dedicated to the weird and the wonderful (but mostly the weird), The Stranger Times is the go-to publication for the unexplained and inexplicable. At least that's their pitch. The reality is rather less auspicious. Their editor is a drunken, foul-tempered and foul-mouthed husk of a man who thinks little of the publication he edits. His staff are a ragtag group of misfits. And as for the assistant editor...well, that job is a revolving door - and it has just revolved to reveal Hannah Willis, who's got problems of her own.

to much yelling
Revisado: 10-03-24
I think I would have really liked this story but I couldn't enjoy it as the characters were constantly yelling at each other.

narrator was bad
Revisado: 09-11-24
I think the narrator was OK but the production was off. I slowed the narration to .90 and it was a lot better but it still had an exasperated poor inflection. the narration takes away from the story. I listened to an ai read book that was better than this

But family and friends weren't buying Kristin's story - particularly the idea that Greg would take his own life. The daughter of a well-to-do California family, Rossum was a brainy blonde beauty whose talent for toxicology had won her a post at the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office. But her sweet smile masked a dark side.

narrator was speed reading this so fast I slowed the play back and then I could follow it. I like true crime novels but this felt like a school report more than a book

I slept through it 3 or 4 times and then gave up
Revisado: 07-08-24
I wish this engaged me, but it didn't. I never related to any character, the premise didn't draw me in, the style made it boring.
I bought this quite some time ago and gave up on it because I couldn't get into it. fast forward a year or 2 and I tried again. I made it about 8 hours in, realized that it was my 5th time trying to listen to it and still didn't know what was going on and each of the character has a formula for the ire of the world and decided I no longer cared. If your a literary student you will love this book.
