I love this story, although it does get a little weird toward the end. I think it could do without the child sex and the odd turtle/"it"/other story...it kind of throws it off into an odd place. I can see why that was never in the movies...how could you even put it in a scene?! I would definitely recommend to anyone that is a Stephen King fan. Steven Weber does a great job narrating too.

This is a cute story with strong characters and good narration. I am looking forward to the rest of this series and would recommend this easy listen to any one of my friends.

Would you listen to Pretty Girls again? Why?

Yes, this was a great book!

What did you like best about this story?

It was not a story I had heard before. Very original and captivating.

Which character – as performed by Kathleen Early – was your favorite?

I found Kathleen Early delightful in each character but Claire was my favorite!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it was very graphic and some descriptions were very hard to hear but the story was so spellbinding and engulfing that I had to hear more.

Any additional comments?

This was an incredible original story! While it was graphic and disturbing, it was amazing! I am sorry to those that read this book and found the vile nature a turn-off, because there were such great moments and relationships that, to me, were so much more important in this story.

If you could sum up What She Knew in three words, what would they be?

It is a child abduction story with a family secret and lots of drama.

What did you like best about this story?

The mother is very relatable

What about Penelope Rawlins and Dugald Bruce-Lockhart ’s performance did you like?

Love the narration! They did a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life, especially with the Scottish accent too.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The part where she sees him in the hospital.

This is a great book with relatable characters and an honesty that is refreshing. There is not one "perfect" character in the story, everyone is flawed and those flaws get put on full display during what can only be the most gut wrenchingly awful time in this family's lives (yes, I know it's fiction).

I think it is the perfect voice for the lead character, just enough emotion and conviction.

I really wanted to like this story but it felt very erratic and all over the place. It's good, not great

I wouldn't advise against it but I would warn that there are many hills and valleys.

No. I think it is a one time through type of book. It's pretty predictable but a cute story.

It's the typical divorcee has trouble letting go of a past life, no matter how much better the option in front of her is.

The narrator was fine for the main 2 women, Charlotte and Lizzie but Katie and a couple of the others were odd.

Sure, it's interesting just a little hard to follow.

Sometimes I felt that the accents were with the wrong person, but other than that it was well narrated
