Can’t speak highly enough…WORTH EVERY MINUTE
Revisado: 02-05-25
In the past when people have said, “this book is life changing or this book changed my life…” I felt like, did it really? I didn’t have a clue what they meant, and really thought words like that, about books at least, were an exaggeration.
I can no longer say that. This book has brought me inner peace and a greater understanding about myself and the world around me. Though many of the concepts in this book were not necessarily new to me, this book put all the “little truths” I’ve picked up on in my life, together in a way that hits home. Mel makes life lessons feel understandable and attainable; and her voice—it gives you the little kick in the ass you need to actually apply these principle to your own life.
I think you, and basically everyone I’ve ever met, should read this book, it’s so so worth it.

Historia
At the end of her best-selling memoir Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert fell in love with Felipe, a Brazilian-born man of Australian citizenship who'd been living in Indonesia when they met. Resettling in America, the couple swore eternal fidelity to each other, but also swore to never, ever, under any circumstances get legally married. I loved it
Revisado: 06-13-23
I loved it, beautifully written and beautifully read. A wonderful memoir that along the way shares insightful notes on what marriage looks like in different parts of the world, and has looked like in the past. I looked forward to listening to every chapter and Liz reads it so well.
