Boldly original, Inflamed takes us on a medical tour through the human body - our digestive, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, reproductive, immune, and nervous systems. Unlike a traditional anatomy book, this groundbreaking work illuminates the hidden relationships between our biological systems and the profound injustices of our political and economic systems.

Historia
In this revelatory memoir, doctor Cynthia Li shares the truth other doctors don’t always understand and often won’t share if they do - that chronic illness is complicated, and that treatment is not just a matter of test results and prescriptions but requires a more comprehensive approach. By sharing her own struggle with a disabling autoimmune crisis, which forced her to question her own conventional medical training and embrace the integrative principles of functional medicine, Li reveals the insider knowledge sufferers need to truly begin healing - mind, body, and spirit.

Healing the incurrable
Revisado: 03-30-24
After watching Dr. Cynthia Li be interviewed by Dr. Mark Hyman, both of which have healed their auto immune illnesses along with many other patients. I thought why bother with the book when many fundamental theories and solutions and treatment plans were shared in the interview and I’m so glad I bought this book. Dr. Cynthia Li’s story and journey goes into great detail of what she experienced early on during and after she learned many different techniques, modalities, treatments, pathways to diagnosis, and so much more which has given me great hope for my wife and many others I know who suffer from autoimmune illnesses to be healed. It’s also very powerful and helpful for those of us who are not particularly suffering with those illnesses, who are the partner or spouses of those who are to gain a much greater understanding of what our significant other is going through and how to be a better support which in turn promotes healing. Thank you, Dr. Cynthia Li for sharing your story and promoting functional medicine.

There’s an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you’re done with the worst thing you’ll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life. Eat That Frog! shows you how to organize each day so you can zero in on these critical tasks and accomplish them efficiently and effectively.

You'd be unstoppable. In this book, Mel teaches you how to start high fiving the most important person in your life, the one who is staring back at you in the mirror: YOURSELF.

Historia
Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

Powerful
Revisado: 02-08-22
It’s a bible of understanding how the mind works, why we do what we do, how to stop the cycle of problematic behavior, and what to do to practice to make lasting changes. I’m ordering a hard copy because it has so many useful tools and how to’s that actually work. At the end of each chapter is a summary of what you learned to use as easy reference for problematic behavior you see in yourself or to share with others when you now have the lenses to see into other people’s behavior. The reader is boring to listen to but hang in there because the science backed studies will blow your mind.

Freedom from distraction created room for what I really want in my life
Revisado: 12-09-20
Reading a chapter a day and implementing the easy to follow instructions melted distraction away. I have so much more time each day to do the things I really want to be doing. It feels incredible becoming my indistractible. The way Nir explains how and why we get distracted, combined with real science related to human behavior along with his simple ways to change behavior patterns is powerful. I can’t thank him enough, my family, friends and coworkers thank you too!!
