Historia
Written by an author with plenty of experience holding a scalpel, Dr. David Schneider's in-depth biography is an encompassing history of the practice that has leapt forward over the centuries from the dangerous guesswork of ancient Greek physicians through the world-changing implant revolution of the 20th century.

Historia
On a hot August night, Lt. Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, speed through the streets of Manhattan to the Down and Dirty club, where a joyful, boisterous pre-wedding girls’ night out has turned into a murder scene. One of the brides lies in a pool of blood, garroted in a private room where she was preparing a surprise for her fiancée—two scrimped and saved-for tickets to Hawaii. Despite the dozens of people present, useful witnesses are hard to come by. It all brings back some bad memories for Eve.

Believe this is remake of older book
Revisado: 09-08-24
I’ve read or listened to every book in the Eve Dallas series and I swear this is not a new story. Shortly after I started it, I relooked at the title (twice) to make sure I had not accidentally started playing one of the older books. Regardless, the plot is boring. So unlike almost all of the other JD Robb books. I do hope this series isn’t becoming like most of the recent Nora Roberts books - dull plots and mediocre writing … like a junior writer was paid to ghost write. Don’t waste your $$ on this book.

Graphic designer Sonya MacTavish is stunned to learn that her late father had a twin he never knew about—and that her newly discovered uncle, Collin Poole, has left her almost everything he owned, including a majestic Victorian house on the Maine coast, which the will stipulates she must live in for at least three years. Her engagement recently broken, she sets off to find out why the boys were separated at birth—and why it was all kept secret until a genealogy website brought it to light.

Better than recent Roberts’s books
Revisado: 11-28-23
I guess Ms Roberts has been reading the reviews of her recent books, because, this book has a fresher story plot. She’s an exemplary gifted writer and I’m glad I decided to give her one more chance. I’m looking forward to Book 2.
The narrator is good. She’s a 3-star voice for the main female character, but a 4-5 star voice for most of the rest.

Historia
It was a glittering event full of A-listers, hosted by Eliza Lane and Brant Fitzhugh, a celebrity couple who’d conquered both Hollywood and Broadway. And now Eve Dallas has made her entrance—but not as a guest. After raising a toast, Fitzhugh fell to the floor and died, with physical symptoms pointing to cyanide, and the police have crashed the party. From all accounts, he wasn’t the kind of star who made enemies. Everyone loved him—even his ex-wife. And since the champagne cocktail that killed him was originally intended for Eliza, it’s possible she was the real target.

The plot and writing need some help
Revisado: 03-02-23
If Ms Robb/Roberts were not the author, I would have given the Story 4 stars vs 3. I felt as if she gave a “jr writer” the story’s outline and left it to him/her to do the writing. It’s not a bad story or writing style - just not at the level we readers expect from her. Because the cost of her books is so high, I’ve quit blindly pre-ordering Nora Roberts books; I may now start doing the same for this JD Robb series.

Historia
Just after midnight on April 15, 1912, the passenger steamship Carpathia receives a distress signal from the largest passenger liner ever built, RMS Titanic, which is on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York. Captain Arthur Rostron is awakened to an enormous maritime emergency with little information to guide his actions in answering the call for help. Is the dire threat to the unsinkable Titanic accurate? His ship is more than four hours away; will Carpathia hold together if pushed to never-before-tested speeds?

Historia
A strange phenomenon is sweeping the globe. People are having visions, seeing angels, experiencing events that defy reality. Bizarre accounts pour in from distant places: a French teenager claims to have witnessed Joan of Arc being burned at the stake; a man in New York dies of malnutrition in a luxurious Central Park apartment; a fundamentalist Christian sect kidnaps and murders a geneticist.

3.5 stars
Revisado: 12-10-22
This is the 3rd book in the series and concludes the story. It’s not quite as good as the first two - but definitely deserves a solid 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the plot of this trilogy- reminded me of how brilliantly Ms Roberts used to write when she was “young and hungry”.

Historia
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

Historia
At exactly 7:30 p.m., Walter Pettibone arrived home to over a hundred friends and family shouting, "surprise!" It was his birthday. Although he had known about the planned event for weeks, the real surprise was yet to come. At 8:45 p.m., a woman with emerald eyes and red hair handed him a glass of champagne. One sip of birthday bubbly, and he was dead.
