I feel vindicated
Revisado: 06-19-21
I have been an entrepreneur in a country I am not native to for the last 25+ years. As a “stranger in a strange land” I struggle with imposter syndrome and uncertainty while still finding a way to continue along the path I have chosen.
The Entrepreneur’s Toolkit by Michael Goldsby brought me back to the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey with each chapter mirroring another step of my own experience.
I haven’t done everything the book suggests and I certainly haven’t done everything right. There are many things I would change if I was able to go back and do them again. It’s possible that if I had this book 25 years ago I would have made different decisions based on the advice the author gives. I suggest others use it and the toolkit within as a guide, as I will in the future.
However, what is important to me as I write this review is what I slowly came to believe while listening to the insightful lessons and anecdotes that somehow reflected my own experience.
I learned that I can absolutely call myself an entrepreneur and that I should truly embrace the title.
I feel vindicated. Thank you.

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

The Perfect Escape for March 2021
Revisado: 03-19-21
Santino Fontana brought Stephen King’s excellent narrative to life. I normally don’t listen to fiction with Audible, preferring to imagine my own voices for characters. I picked The Institute on a whim because it had been awhile since I’d ventured into a world imagined by Stephen King and it seemed reminiscent of tales I enjoyed in the 80’s. I’m glad I did. Thank you to both artists. I think I’ll pick another.

So much new data in 3 decades!
Revisado: 11-25-20
I graduated with a double honours degree (one of which was Psychology) 30 years ago. My career took me on the path of the other half of that degree but I like to think some of the psychology knowledge stayed with me.
This Great Course showed me what almost 30 years of new experiments and data and advances in technology have done. Very exciting. Highly interesting. Wonderful.
The presentation was great and the idea of providing the data as “tips” was a fantastic learning method.
I highly recommend this.

This was a clear and comprehensive outline of decision making. Every chapter provided information that I could immediately put to use. The Q&A roadblock format in the last chapter was a particularly effective summary. Thank you!

Well presented introduction to memory strategies
Revisado: 09-15-20
Over the years I have heard of many strategies to remember including most of the methods presented in this book. This was the first time they made more than superficial sense to me. The quick examples and accompanying PDF helped me to understand what other books merely described to me. Thank you.

To most of us, learning something 'the hard way' implies wasted time and effort. Good teaching, we believe, should be creatively tailored to the different learning styles of students and should use strategies that make learning easier. Make It Stick turns fashionable ideas like these on their head and will appeal to all those interested in the challenge of lifelong learning and self-improvement.

Excellent In All Ways
Revisado: 09-09-20
This was a fantastic presentation of ideas of learning. The most exciting part for me was the ideas that I kept coming up with on how I could improve the studying and learning methods of myself, my children and my team. I’m going to need to go through it several more times as I start to implement what they have shared. Thank you.

A great book
Revisado: 08-11-20
I really enjoyed “Indistractable”. The ideas were shared in a logical, easily understandable, entertaining progression of thoughts.
I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for hints, tips and methods for becoming more focused and less distract-able.
