Historia
Arthur Parnassus lives a good life built on the ashes of a bad one. He’s the headmaster of a strange orphanage on a distant and peculiar island, and he hopes to soon be the adoptive father to the six dangerous and magical children who live there. Arthur works hard and loves with his whole heart so none of the children ever feel the neglect and pain that he once felt as an orphan on that very same island so long ago. He is not alone: joining him is the love of his life, Linus Baker, a former caseworker in the Department in Charge of Magical Youth.

Relevant and magical
Revisado: 02-09-25
I loved the messages that are relevant for so many people “magical “ or not. I absolutely loved the unique children and their voices, humor and their intellect and insight. Kudos for a grand sequel.

Historia
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

I have been curious about Kombucha for decades. The book gave me a new found insight, appreciation and desire to incorporate it into my life. I may not be ready to brew it myself yet, but I look forward to the host of health benefits.

I have been around many addicts and Narcissists in my life. I have seen lives lost, families broken up, loved ones jailed. This story speaks to me on so many levels. It’s easy to judge the one who is resistant to leave that person. There are so many layers of emotions and conflicting thoughts that weave through a decision like that. This story was very well written and I enjoyed the one reading the story on Audible. Thank you to the author for sharing your story. You truly are a warrior and your kids will thrive because of you.
