Historia
A Lie Too Big to Fail asserts the idea that a government can never investigate itself in a crime of this magnitude. Was the convicted Sirhan Sirhan a willing participant? Or was he a mind-controlled assassin? It has fallen to independent researchers like Pease to lay out the evidence in a clear and concise manner, allowing listeners to form their theories about this event. Pease places the history of this event in the context of the era and provides shocking overlaps between other high-profile murders and attempted murders of the time.

Learned a lot of new information
Revisado: 04-21-24
I readily admit I was only vaguely familiar with the RFK assassination and I gleaned quite a bit of information I had never heard before. She has convinced me that a conspiracy and coverup is not only possible but likely, even more so than the JFK assassination. The corruption she exposed of LAPD at the time is quite telling, as well as their likely collusion with the CIA. The bullet count alone indicates more than one shooter, Unfortunately, I wasn't sold on the myriad of conjectures, suppositions, and leaps of faith that were expressed to get to several of the conclusions. The terms "right wing" and "ring wing extremist" were used a good bit, and she seemed disappointed that she couldn't link any dirt to Ronald Reagan when the real crook in the house at the time was Democrat LBJ, who was no fan of Bobby's and she hardly mentions him.
The performance was well done and even though there was a lot of information it kept my interest throughout.

Historia
The story of Tang and her gallant crew ranks with the most amazing of naval history. Between August 1943 when she was commissioned and her loss in fall 1944, Tang completed four missions and was on her fifth in the Formosa Strait, single-handedly demolishing a convey. During this time, Tang had one captain: Commander Richard Hetherington O'Kane. Together, Tang, her crew of 86 men, and her captain sank more tonnage and more enemy ships than any other submarine on active patrol.

Excellent narrative by the skipper of the fightingest submarine in the US Nsvy

I read a hardback copy of Clear the Bridge over 30 years ago and found Dick O’Kane’s account of the patrols of the USS Tang to be riveting. The Audible version was well done and I think the true story of Tang and her gallant crew is better than any fictional novel

Historia
Morgan and his extended family could see the light at the end of the tunnel, dim though it may be. There was the promise of power once again. The plant was being repaired, and it looked as though it may actually run. While it meant lots of hard, sweaty work, the reward was worth the investment. The farm was growing strong, and community involvement was good. People were finally coming to terms with the fact that they needed to work together. So far Mother Nature had been on their side. But that, too, was about to change.

A lot of filler and not a lot of substance.

I'm loving the series
Revisado: 10-14-21
I am really enjoying the entire Survivalist Series so far. The only criticism I have, and it's a small one, is that the banter between Sarge and Morgan and the rest of the guys can be over the top at times. Otherwise, it's a very enjoyable story and I seem to learn something applicable in each book.
