Historia
In November 2022, a webpage was posted online with a simple text box. It was ChatGPT, and was unlike any app people had used before. It was more human than a customer service agent, more convenient than a Google search. Behind the scenes, battles for control and prestige between the world’s two leading AI firms, OpenAI and DeepMind, who now steers Google's AI efforts, has remained elusive—until now.

I like Josh but……
Revisado: 09-08-24
Way too self promotional. Half of the book is about his firm and how honest and virtuous they are. I didn’t really learn much. It’s just a collection of his old blogs with his updated comments. I like Josh on CNBC but this is the second book I find disappointing. The other book was about how financial planners invest with their own money. Another weak book that had a bunch of no name planners with few insights. I won’t be buying any more of his books. The titles of his books are misleading. For a guy who claims he likes to write, all he is doing is assembling old blogs and touting his firm.

Historia
During the 20th century, America managed to make its economic and social systems both more and more fair and more and more prosperous. A huge, secure, and contented middle class emerged. All boats rose together. But then the New Deal gave way to the Raw Deal. Beginning in the early 1970s, by means of a long war conceived of and executed by a confederacy of big business CEOs, the superrich, and right-wing zealots, the rules and norms that made the American middle class possible were undermined and dismantled.

Incoherent drivel
Revisado: 12-13-22
After finishing Capitalism in America by Alan Greenspan, I thought it would be great to follow up with a book that basically follows the same history and perhaps gives a different view of America. The writing and research that went into this book as compared to the former is night and day. Its borderline coherent. it so bad I can't finish it.

We are only just beginning to reckon with our post-pandemic future. As political extremism intensifies, the great resignation affects businesses everywhere, and supply chain issues crush bottom lines, we’re faced with daunting questions—is our democracy under threat? How will Big Tech change our lives? What does job security look like for me? America is on the brink of massive change—change that will disrupt the workings of our economy and drastically impact the financial backbone of our nation: the middle class.

Interesting but not worth the price.
Revisado: 09-29-22
It felt like a bunch of random stats that he wasn't sure how to tie them together cohesively so he just showed them. The number of slides was what drew me to buy the book but there was nothing earth shattering. In fact, If I knew what the slides were about in advance, I wouldn't have purchased this book. Its rather disappointing and certainly doesn't warrant the price for such a short "book" with such trivial content. Well, he's got my money. Its No wonder he can afford a private plane. (He mentioned that in this book)
