Enjoyable story
Revisado: 11-09-24
I enjoy time travel adventures, and while the author used the majority of the story to lead up to the time travel portion, the storyline worked well. Now I'm going in search of other books in the series...

Captivating to the end
Revisado: 10-14-24
I enjoy reading/ listening to stores of time travel adventures and the author did not disappoint me. Zugg did a good job of creating likeable characters in whose lives I became emotionally invested. The story threads woven throughout the 3 books were well developed, and I enjoyed learning a little of the historical events of the timeperiod. I also appreciated the wrap-up in the Epilogue that left me feeling satisfied and not left with nagging little questions. I look forward to reading more of Zugg's books.

Compelling characters and storyline
Revisado: 04-18-24
This is my 3rd Mark Goodwin series. I have been captivated throughout the first two, and this series was no different. Goodwin did a great job of developing his characters and interweaving the various storylines. Although Goodwin chose a different timing for end time events in relation to the rapture than those that I believe (more of a pre-wrath viewpoint), that was not a problem. I was in tears at the end and had goosebumps from the strong sense that soon we will be facing situations such as he had written... and that my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ will soon be calling His bride home.

Eve looks like an ordinary 12-year-old girl, but there’s nothing ordinary about her. She has no last name. No parents or guardian. She’s on the run from a dangerous and secretive organization that will stop at nothing to track her down. And most astonishing of all: she’s a robot, a product of Eden Laboratories. When Eve discovers the truth, she realizes everything she thought she knew about herself is a lie. Eve manages to escape, fleeing the lab, the only home she’s ever known.

Compelling characters and story line
Revisado: 05-09-20
Lee Bacon painted such an endearing picture of the main character, Eve. This is one of those books that you don't want to stop listening to until you reach the end credits. I became emotionally invested early on, and was taken by surprise by some unexpected plot twists. I'm so glad I chose this book as one of my monthly freebies. I'd kind of like to go back to chapter 1 and start listening again. To bad there aren't any sequels...
