Historia
Rescued from a pandemic’s wreckage and raised by the eccentric surgeon Dr. Horace Croft, orphan Nora Beady cares little for Victorian conventions. While other young ladies busy themselves with needlework and watercolors, Nora perfects her sutures and anatomical illustrations. Women face dire consequences if caught practicing medicine, but in Croft’s private clinic, Nora is his most trusted - and secret - assistant. That is, until the new surgical resident, Dr. Daniel Gibson, arrives.

Historia
Hildie, which was short for Hildegard, watched in shock when the auction for mail order brides was over and she was the last one standing who hadn't been picked. The only thing wrong with her is she was a tad bit taller than the other girls; well maybe quite a bit taller if she were being truthful. She had always been told she had a pretty face and figure; however, she guessed no man wanted to climb a ladder to talk to her. The orphanage where she had been living was now closed and she was all on her own with no money and she was wearing the only clothes she had. Panic began to sweep ...

This book is beautiful and interesting. The characters, the storyline. It’s easy to listen to but not because it is simple. The narration was lovely too.

A very annoying book or should I say author.
Revisado: 02-08-24
He’s totally self absorbed and shows little gratitude for his life being saved. Only he has really experienced all the things during his recovery and he allows people to help him for their own good. Just ego based with faith thrown in. I could go on…

Historia
It’s been 10 years since a group of college friends made a vow: that the first to get rich would rent a boat and invite the others on a cruise. Now, the friends find themselves marooned at a luxurious hotel on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. While their boat is being repaired, they can’t help but observe the daily routine of a fellow hotel guest - a mysterious, white-bearded stranger who sits on the veranda each night and smokes one cigarette, sometimes two.

Historia
Nestled into the cliffs in southern Italy's Amalfi coast, Positano is an artist's vision, with rows of brightly hued houses perched above the sea and picturesque staircases meandering up and down the hillside. Santina, still a striking woman despite old age and the illness that saps her last strength, is spending her final days at her home, Villa San Vito. The magnificent 18th-century palazzo is very different from the tiny house in which she grew up. And as she decides its fate, she must confront the choices that led her here so long ago.

Historia
Not only do Southerners talk slowly, but sometimes the whole language is hard to understand. No one realizes that more than Memphis belle Leelee Satterfield. Watching her tackle life and love in Vermont was only the tip of the iceberg when it came to antics, charades, mischief, and romance. Now that she’s back in Memphis, and starting a new relationship with Peter, the Yankee chef from her New England inn, you’d think she’d sit back and enjoy her newly crafted life back home in Dixie. But that just wouldn’t be as much fun.

Repetitive but sweet story
Revisado: 01-09-23
The author uses a lot of repetitive information from previous 2 books which takes away from this book. The person reading the book got annoying because she confused characters eg Peter the chef started being given a speech impediment that the neighbor had. Inconsistent. Sweet story but this book was amateurish.
