I really liked

Although I really did like the story, it was very long. I get it, 4 books and the story was good and performance was good, it did drag a bit in a few places. I thought the whole rags to riches put the baddies in there place theme was well done. I feel like book three maybe was the slow one then book 4 kinda hurried to wrap things up. I don’t know. The steamy scenes were really steamy and the personal stories of all the characters were great. I don’t know if there are other related books but there were a few side characters I wouldn’t mind exploring. I guess the only negative is the length and it’s not even that negative. Good job.

Good series

I like the series. There was just the right amount of groveling, the character stayed true to them themselves and everything worked out all right in the end. I think this book had a good resolution for what was started in book one without drawing it out too much and making it ridiculous.

Wow

This is a beautiful love story. The characters go through so much heartache over the course of years before finally being able to be together. It’s sad and beautiful at the same time. Mental illness and drug addiction are the main problems in this story but it has a HEA.

I love this story

I love all the characters in this story. The struggles they all have in their personal lives are so real. Despite that they all come together and find themselves and each other. The narration was great also. Just love it.

Narration distracted from novel potential

Honestly the story wasn’t bad but the fake narration was. There is no differentiation between the characters which makes it hard to keep track of who’s talking sometimes. There is no inflection. The artificial “inflection” is often incorrect. Words blend in poor groupings changing the meaning of the sentences. Words are mispronounced, words put in where grammatical notations should be. There is just no feeling to the performance drastically affecting my opinion of the story as a whole unfortunately.

Outstanding

This was such a good book. It was written in a really compelling way. The character relationship, their experiences through the war, each in their own way. This novel gave me a new appreciation for the horrors that the men and woman went through during the Japanese advancement during WWII. There have been so many movies and such about the German advancement but it seems like not as many dealing with the pacific side. I think it is really important to remember our history and the sacrifices our forbears gave up so that we as their future generations can live the way we do today. Remember that the next time you want to complain about something that really is inconsequential. Life could be so much worse.

Great performances

The story was good, it’s a part two book. It was a good conclusion to its predecessor. I enjoyed the characters, the story was well rounded and happily ever after. This book is much steamier than the first.

Wow so unexpected

So first of all the narration is computer generated. It’s really not too bad but there is zero difference in inflection between characters. There is inflection but it’s generally a little flat. There are a few errors or what I assume are errors when talking about IV lines calling them fourth lines but it’s not too bad. Secondly I picked this story based on the description thinking it was going to be a funny story. It’s really not. There are funny parts but it’s generally a pretty deep look at a flawed system and a group of people’s struggles within the system. I liked the book and again the narration wasn’t bad but it was so not what I expected from a RH novel. I genuinely felt for the characters and the circumstances they were subjected to.

I Didn’t see that coming

Beautiful story. This was a little different than Rebecca Yarros’ other books. I enjoyed it very much.

Kept me riveted

I’m not a ballet fan and there is a lot of ballet in this book. That being said, the story and characters were very well fleshed out and I was very interested in what was going to happen to all of them. I kept trying to guess what was going to be the outcome of this novel and kept being surprised so, yay. I’ve read one other of Rebecca Yarros’ novels and that one was great too.
