Historia
Maximoff Hale is a force of nature. A ship unwilling to be steered. Headstrong, resilient, and wholly responsible - the 22-year-old alpha billionaire can handle his unconventional life. Born into one of the most famous families in the country, his celebrity status began at birth. He is certified American royalty. When he's assigned a new 24/7 bodyguard, he comes face-to-face with the worst case scenario: being attached to the tattooed, MMA-trained, Yale graduate who's known for "going rogue" in the security team - and who fills 1/3 of Maximoff's sexual fantasies.

Loved the MCs but so many characters
Revisado: 02-17-21
First of all the audio version of this was incredible! The voice of Farrow was absolutely perfect for him and I loved it! I will say the other voices that Cendese did weren't quite as good. However, every voice that Harding did was spot on and perfect. Granted I haven't listened to a ton of audio books but this was the best by far.
Now about the story - I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it. First off I did love Max and Farrow both. I loved the UST and the depth of their characters. I loved that they were both alpha males fighting for dominance in just about every aspect of their relationship. However, the whole struggles of the rich and famous was just so OTT. Not to mention the amount of time spent on the secondary characters seemed at times more than I wanted probably because there were SO MANY secondary characters. Still overall, I definitely enjoyed this and will continue on with the series although I'm not necessarily inspired to go back and read the stories about the previous generation.

When Crossroads Gin hits the road, Damien hopes it will draw them closer together. There's something magical about being on tour, especially when traveling in a van with no roadies, managers, or lovers to act as a buffer. The band is already close, but Damien knows they can be more brothers of sorts, bound not only by familial ties but by their intense love for music.

A bit of a filler but fans of the series will like
Revisado: 02-17-21
3.5 Stars. I really loved the previous 4 books but this one wasn't as good IMO. It was really more of a "catch up" book on where all the characters were. Maybe because it jumped around from character to character or maybe because the suspense element wasn't as strong is the reason I didn't like it as much. You definitely can't read it as a stand alone book. I did enjoy seeing the characters as they struggled with their pasts and there were some really great scenes but overall I felt like it just wasn't as good as the previous books.
I listened to this book and I also struggled because a lot of the voices of the Morgan's sounded very similar. Also for me personally Rafe and Quinn are my favorite couple and they didn't get as much time as the other couples. In fact, it seemed a lot of stories were set-up and then just let go. I was expecting the suspense/danger subplot and thought maybe the guy Miki saw before the first show would be a stalker but he was never mentioned again. I also expected more about Rafe and his struggle to stay off drugs other than the one scene with Quinn. I thought there would be a scene with him and the other band members were they would talk about it and his difficulties and how that had effected his behavior and an apology from him to them. Then there was a small subplot between Forest and Connor that I thought might lead to some conflict but it just faded away as well.
Honestly for me personally my least favorite part of this series is the relationship between Miki and Damien and that seemed to be a large part of this book. Still with the way this ended I'm looking forward to the next book.

After a devastating accident and a long stay in the hospital, the last thing petroleum engineer Sean Wilkinson wants to deal with is the settlement the oil company tries to force on him. He needs someone in his corner, but most lawyers take one look at his tattoo-covered father and turn their backs. Heavy on the details but still a good story
Revisado: 02-17-21
3.5 Stars.
There were some things I really loved about this book but a couple of things that just took it down a 1/2 star for me. It took me quite awhile to get through this book but not because I didn't enjoy it although it didn't keep me on the edge of my seat. I found myself able to put it down however, I did keep coming back to it to find out what exactly happened to Sean and who was behind it. I found the case really interesting and I loved that aspect of the book.
I also really liked both characters and I liked their backstories. I loved Sean's backstory of being thrown out and growing up with one of his mom's ex boyfriends Hawk who runs a tattoo studio. I loved the relationship between the two of them. I was even intrigued by Sean's relationship with Bruce. The biggest problem I had with Sean was that I never really believed that he was in love with Nate. I believed he was attracted to Nate and felt a lot of gratitude for what he was doing but I didn't ever feel like it was more than that. I also thought he accepted the loss of his limb pretty easily and he seemed more concerned about the patent on his invention.
I also loved Nate's background and found his relationship with his parents sad but yet still intriguing. It was really great to see him shine on his own and I really loved that at least he had one of his brother's in his life. Now I did believe that Nate fell for Sean. I liked that he was conflicted about acting on his feelings and yet how protective he was about Sean and still respecting his independence and ability/need to do things himself. Unfortunately that made the romance feel very one sided to me and the epilogue did not help at all but in fact seemed to echo that feeling of a one sided relationship.
The other thing that kept pulling me out of the story was the massive amount of details about both tattoos and Sean's invention/job. Maybe if it had been just one or the other but I kept getting bogged down in details and the momentum of the case would get lost for me.
So while this had some great things that were on the 5 star level the massive amount of details and the one sided feeling I got about the romance took it down to a 3.5 star rating.

When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Entertaining and Fun!
Revisado: 02-17-21
4.5 Stars. The audio for this was 5 Stars and incredibly well done (one of the best audio's I have listened to). So I HIGHLY recommend listening to this vs reading it!
I'm not always a fan of NA books because the characters just seem to young for me and this book had so much hype I was actually a little worried it wouldn't live up to it. However, it turned out that I really LOVED Alex and Henry! It was sweet and humorous and a great enemies to lovers story. I'll be honest I'm not a fan of politics in my books and so the backdrop of the election didn't do much for me however, the story doesn't really work without the politics since both Henry and Alex have a large role in their countries politics. Mostly I just listened to those parts to get to the rest of the book. What I absolutely loved was the slow build relationship between Alex and Henry. I adored the texts and emails that they sent back and forth and I felt the chemistry between the two. It was a lot of fun and I would definitely read more by this author. I will also definitely go look to see what other books Ramón de Ocampo has narrated.

Wonderful characters and family drama
Revisado: 02-17-21
Well if I thought there was drama meeting Cooper's family that was nothing compared to the drama of meeting Oliver's family! Cooper isn't sure what to expect and the surprises just keep coming while visiting Oliver's family. Of course a huge part of that is because Oliver hasn't told Cooper anything and really given him no idea what to expect nor any help in dealing with his family. Apparently he hasn't told his family much about Cooper either. There are few twists and turns and surprises along the way and some growing between Cooper and Oliver. I wanted to smack Oliver a few times along the way when he let his fear of Cooper accepting him get in the way of their relationship. At times during this book the couple really felt like they were on shaky ground and had me wondering how/if they would work it all out. Throw in a murder investigation and all the secrets and it made for an exciting book. Looking forward to the next book!
The narration for this one is very good and the voices for the characters fit and were distinctive. It kept me engaged and has me wanting to listen to the next book versus reading it.

Love these characters
Revisado: 02-17-21
I listened to this book and I'm not always a fan of listening vs reading books but wow the audio for this one was spectacular. The voices for the many different characters was superb. So 5 stars for this audio.
5 Stars for the book itself as well. Is there angst - yes. Is it emotional and will it make you cry - yes. But it will also make you smile and if you're anything like me once you start you can't stop. I'm not sure if you could read this as a stand alone or not - I think you'd be a little bit confused and why would you anyway because books 1 & 2 are fantastic 5 star reads as well. I admit I wasn't a huge Robbie fan before this book and while I do really adore Kelly he isn't my favorite character. However, along the way I did fall in love with Robbie and discovered sides of Kelly I hadn't seen. So do I love them - yes but they still aren't my favorite characters and if I'm being honest Gordo stole the show a bit for me in this book. He also brought some much needed levity into this heartbreaking at times story.
The plot is a bit confusing the first few chapters but it's intentionally written that way. Once you figure out what is going on you are hooked. This is a story of a lost wolf trying to find his way home and the journey isn't easy. Finding your physical way home is just the beginning of the journey. Now I sit on pins and needles waiting for Brothersong - I need it now!

There are eight million stories in the City of Angels but only one man can stumble upon the body of a former client while being chased by a pair of Dobermans and a deranged psycho dressed as a sheep. That man is Cole McGinnis. Since his last life-threatening case years ago, McGinnis has married the love of his life, Jae-Min Kim, consulted for the LAPD, and investigated cases as a private detective for hire. Yet nothing could have prepared him for the shocking discovery of a dead, grandmotherly woman at his feet and the cascade of murders that follows.

So happy they are back!
Revisado: 02-17-21
Cole McGinnis is back and involved in a crazy case that leads to all kinds of trouble! I really enjoyed the original series and although you could probably read this without having read the original - why? If you haven't started go back to the beginning it's worth it!
The romance takes a back seat to the case in this book but part of that is because the relationships are solid and although we see plenty of loving moments this book is more about a case which isn't a bad thing. There's no relationship drama just couples in love who support each other. I really loved reconnecting with Cole and Jae, Bobby & Ichi and of course Claudia.
The case which starts out as surveillance and of course since Cole is involved leads to murder is full of interesting twists and turns. It's entertaining and fast paced with plenty of action filled moments that perfectly interspersed with quiet and lovely relationship moments and just a touch of family drama to keep it all interesting.
Greg Tremblay did an amazing job on the audio bringing all the characters to light with different voices and accents. It was always east to tell who was speaking based on the voice itself. I loved listening to this audio book and look forward to more from Cole and the gang.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Corey Ellis sure doesn't. Oh, everyone around him seems to have found their happy ending, but he's far too busy to worry about such things. He'll have plenty of time for romance after he survives his last summer before graduation. So what if he can't get his former professor, Jeremy Olsen, out of his head? It's nothing more than hero worship. And that's the way it should stay. Except bi-gender Corey - aka Kori - is interning at Phoenix House for the summer, an LGBTQI youth center, and the director just so happens to be a certain former professor.

Revisado: 02-17-21
This one surprised me by how much I loved it! Corey wasn't my favorite character in this series and I wasn't super excited about this book - but in the end it turned out to be my favorite of the series! I loved the series - the characters, the humor, the romance. The whole gang was here and it was wonderful to have lots of scenes with them. The perfect way to end this series. I also loved the narration on this one! It really brought the whole thing to life and the characters were easy to distinguish.

Nine years ago, just before Downward Spiral’s first major tour, I met my soul mate, and then I walked away. Now that I’ve finally tracked him down again, things have changed. Entertaining although not very realistic
Revisado: 02-17-21
3.5 Stars. I really loved the first book and I really enjoyed the second although obviously not quite as much as the first. Be prepared to suspend your sense of disbelief for this book - it's VERY sweet with not a lot of angst and the premise is just a bit unbelievable.
Lando is a rock star but he's obsessed with Dawson who he had an amazing weekend with 9 years ago before the band really hit it big. First off I have a hard time believing he would be obsessed with someone for 9 years who he only spent a weekend with and then would do nothing to track the guy down. At the very least you'd think he'd look him up on social media just to find out about him. (Come on we all do it so I bet Lando would to). At least Dawson has no memory of the weekend due to the car accident he was in that caused him to lose his hearing. I enjoyed the flashbacks (which I don't always like in books) but again these two were practically ready to spend their lives together after one weekend - a bit too instant for me. Then of course there is the idea that the two of them end up in the same bar, in the same place they met 9 years later. But again I was willing to just go with it and when I did what I had was a very sweet, entertaining romance with two characters that I very much liked and wanted to see happy with each other. I loved watching Lando get Dawson to fall for him again.
As for the audio it wasn't bad - not one of my favorite audio performances but I enjoyed the narration. The only thing that bothered me a little was Dawson's voice - he wasn't deaf for the first 20 some odd years of his life so I don't think his pronouncement would have been as off as it sounded in the book - he sounded more like someone who was born deaf but that's a fairly minor quibble.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading or listening to the next book in this series.

Loved the ending and narration
Revisado: 02-17-21
This was actually a pretty hard book to rate for me - I would have said I wasn't a fan until the last part of the book.
It started off really slow for me. David is a widower who does nothing but work and work out until he's injured and has to go to physical therapy where he meets Brandon. We get to know them but honestly it's a bit boring. Very slow pace. David and Brandon get together but David is always worried about how much older he is and Brandon is always worried about accepting gifts and letting David pay for things since he is in a VERY different wealth class. There is a lot of sex - I mean a lot of sex. Sometimes ridiculous sex. I'm still bored and wondering why I'm still listening to this book. Then the romance goes to hell and I start thinking hmm maybe this will get interesting. David tells Brandon that they have no future but David decides to fight for Brandon anyway. So they have more sex and sex without condoms even though David continues to keep Brandon at arm's length. Everything comes to a head when David takes Brandon to Provincetown and they go to a party with David's friends. His friends treat Brandon horribly - like a rentboy and David does nothing. So now I have zero respect for David. He has horrible friends who seem to be horrible people and he lets them treat his boyfriend like crap. Brandon finally grows a pair and breaks up with David - yeah! I'm at least not bored anymore although I don't like David so I'm hoping Brandon will move on and find someone else. Still a 2 star book at most at this point and then BAM - OMG! I so didn't see this coming and the book gets very emotional at this point. I'm actually crying - who would have thought. I really wasn't invested in these characters but now I have all the feels. The last quarter of the book is interesting and emotional and wow I wish the whole book had been this good.
Still in the end I'm left feeling like these two only came back together because of the incident and not really believing they can make it together. It seems they constantly need a push to stay together - both the incident and the letter.
Finally, the friends in this story - both David and Brandon's - well the saying with friends like that who needs enemies was written for them. I honestly just can't understand anyone having friends who care so little about them or people in general.
But because the last quarter of this book made me cry and had all the feels I can't not give it at least 3 stars. I also enjoyed the narration of this book. I'm not sure I would have lasted if I had been reading it.
