Historia
As a female coach, I've always lived by a simple mantra: throw hard, swing for the fences, and never, ever look back—especially when it comes to past flames. So when my ex-boyfriend somehow manages to land the job as my new assistant coach, my life is flipped upside down. The game I thought I'd mastered is now being played with a whole new set of rules.

Waaaaay to much conflict with Avery
Revisado: 11-21-24
I totally understand wanting to touch on mental health issues but at some point you wonder why this great man is sticking around. I got tired of the whole book being about Avery’s issues. I didn’t feel like she added much to Nathan’s life but drama and hostility. It was not enjoyable for me, tho I do love this author.

Historia
I’ve spent ten years recreating myself into a man deserving of Kennedy Townsend. I’m no longer the poor, illegitimate son of a wealthy man who refused to even acknowledge my presence. For years, I’ve watched her from afar, waited, and even manipulated businesses to grant her the career opportunities she deserved. All that remains is one last business venture that will earn me the revenge I seek against my past and catapult me into the upper echelon of society. Then I’ll be free to make her mine. But when Kennedy’s career brings her directly to my doorstep, I can’t let her walk away.

Dae is a little too stalker-ish for my liking.
Revisado: 10-31-24
I had to stop listening because Dae takes the obsessive stalker vibes to the next level. I’m all for a man who knows what they want and I love a good alpha male character but it was a bit too much for me. For her to be such a smart girl she never pushes on how he knows what she likes, where she is, or her past. It’s just too creepy. I can predict him stalking her for 10yrs is what’s going to temporarily break them up and then I’m going to want to slap her, because…. Girl duh. Maybe I’ll come back later and finish since I generally like Tiffany Pattersons worlds.

Soooooooo close to being perfect
Revisado: 05-17-24
One of my favorite love stories and I have over 1100 books on my audible account alone.. I love J. J. McAvoy. She is brilliant. My only problem with this book is the end. It was tarnished when this beautiful couple who worked so hard for their happy ending never got settled. I wanted to see them settle into their life like they had settled into the people they were destined to become. I feel gypped. After a 10 hour novel all of my questions should have been answered and I should have felt ready to move on to the next in the series. Instead I feel frustrated.

Historia
Toni had a plan for the summer: rest, relaxation, and renovation. In the summer before her sabbatical year, all she wanted was to disentangle herself from her job. No work emails. Not departmental or university politics. No Dr. Antonia Ward. But during the last week of classes, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with Dr. Mike Hernandez. The colleague she's known for years, and never once thought twice about, suddenly seems taller, his voice seems deeper, and every time they find themselves alone together, they can't keep their hands to themselves.

Boring and the characters personalities changed
Revisado: 03-14-24
I loved the first book and was so excited to read this one, but it fell short for me. The characters from the previous book took on totally different personalities in this book. It’s startling and disheartening.
The book is way too much build up. Once they get a relationship started she skips a whole month and a half and they are breaking up, getting back together and the end. I would have rated it lower but I really liked Mike.

After being used and abused for his money, position, and power by countless gold-digging women of the British ton, he became a hard-hearted man who decided to live out his days handling his enormous English estate, and to use women as nothing more than objects of his sexual gratification rather than any real affection. Historia
Childhood neighbors, enemies, best friends, lovers, enemies, Sires lineman Terrence Ford and his ex-wife, Krystle, have meant all these things to each other. Once believing their union was indestructible, they find themselves unhappily apart. Maybe what they see as an ending is really the beginning of a stronger bond and a deeper understanding of what love really is.

Alexandria, Jakobi and Wesleigh are what dreams are made of. Another fantastic story with the best story tellers in the game. I was not in love with the “now” and “then” perspective though.

Love? That’s not in my script. At least, that’s what I thought before Rah. Rah and his seven feet of broad-shouldered, unreadable, way-too-noble-for-his-own-good self. If someone had told me I’d be stuck on a green desert planet, tangled up in some slow-burn, unresolved-tension situation with him, I would’ve laughed and said that sounds like a bad sci-fi romance.

Loved this book. It was funny, engaging, sexy and a really good story. We don’t see a lot of alien stories for BW in this genre. O’Hare killed the game. Narration was on point.

Historia
Boudoir photographer Josie Parks never ever takes a vacation. But when a client cancels a New Orleans shoot at the last minute, she decides to fly out from her Washington, D.C., studio anyway. Maybe the trip will reawaken her recently stagnant muse. After all, it’s Mardi Gras season. Spencer Pham has come home after twelve soul-sucking years in corporate hell to pursue his passion: making a docu-film on his family’s history as the first Vietnamese Mardi Gras krewe. The last thing he expects is getting whacked in the head by a beautiful woman trying to snag some parade beads.

Historia
Danika Brown knows what she wants: professional success, academic renown, and an occasional roll in the hay to relieve all that career-driven tension. But romance? Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. Romantic partners, whatever their gender, are a distraction at best and a drain at worst. So Dani asks the universe for the perfect friend-with-benefits - someone who knows the score and knows their way around the bedroom.

I could not finish
Revisado: 06-12-23
I don’t know what all these 4 or 5 star reviews were listening to. I am an avid romance reader; urban, historic, paranormal, crime… I read it all. This book has 1.5 hours left and I feel like my toenails are being snatched off. Dani has serious issues. I thought it was great at first but I’m almost done and she’s still doing the same shit she was doing in chapter 1. No growth. Zaf is bae and has a strong story, he’s why I kept listening. But, Dani needs help and at this point a HAE would just be oddly placed as she still has no idea of her self worth. In real life she would drag this man back into depression because she can’t get a hold of her shit.
