⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Kept me turning the pages from page one!” Jonna M. A DELIGHTFUL COZY MYSTERY FULL OF QUAINT VILLAGES, QUIRKY CHARACTERS, AND MADCAP ADVENTURES BY A BESTSELLING AUTHOR. Helen Ryes and Martha Littleword, two Americans living in England, become fast friends and amateur sleuths when a murder lands them in hot water. Killers unfortunately rarely stop at just one murder and the tome-filled libraries, ivy-covered manor homes, and lush countryside of England can be decidedly deadly! It’s a beautiful summer and the busy village of Marsden-Lacey, England, has murder on its mind...

Virtual voice ruined the book
Revisado: 02-28-25
The story was what I expected. Virtual voice is TERRIBLE! Mispronounced words. emotionless. Run on sentences and paragraphs. I could go on. I could barely listen to the story. I am unable to read a book due to vision loss and I would be so sad if virtual voice is the only option I might have for an audio book

The repetitive phrases used throughout and the lack of depth for everything—characters, story, performance
Revisado: 06-29-24
The story and characters are shallow, underdeveloped. The repetitive use of phrases, her daughter who seems to have no real purpose and the silliness of the story made listening a chore. Two stars is a nod to anyone who completes a novel. I did listen to the entire novel hoping for some redeeming qualities to appear but they didn’t. As for the performance, if you can’t do an American accent you shouldn’t.

Historia
Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

Predictable :(
Revisado: 03-10-21
By the end of Chapter 6 I already could predict the story. The characters are overwritten and there roles too extreme Daphne is too good and perfect, Amber is too bad and evil to be believable. The rest of the bad husband story is also overwritten and predictable. Disappointed.

Such a disappointment!
Revisado: 12-17-20
The beginning starts out as an interesting idea. It starts to drags than SNAP! The main character is suddenly a psychopath and the story is over
