Historia
The Eye of the I is a brilliant work that dissolves the barriers between the known and the unknown, between science and spirituality, and between the Newtonian linear paradigm of the ego and the nonlinear reality of Enlightenment. With the resolution of the self, the self shines forth and reveals one's true identity.

Educational and Transformational!
Revisado: 08-12-22
I have read five of Dr. David R Hawkins MD’s books. I have gotten a great deal out of all of them. I don’t agree with everything he says, for instance, I find his stance on heavy metal music, hip hop music, and AA to be problematic, but I’m willing to chalk that up to his perspective given the times these works came out. Many things have changed since these works were written. Honestly though, the fact that the book contains things I don’t agree with only seem to further emphasize and validate everything that did align with my life’s experience, which was by and large the vast majority of the contents of this and all the other books of his I’ve read. I would say that “letting go” is perhaps the best introduction to his books, as I find it to be the most accessible and least “out there.” I might not have gotten as much out of this book if it had been the first of his that I’d read. That being said, I enthusiastically recommend this book for anybody interested in personal growth, going through an extraordinarily challenging time in their life, coping with copious feelings of loss and despair, or anyone seeking to escape the doldrums of stagnation or embrace an entirely new approach to interpersonal and spiritual relationships of all kinds.

Historia
The publication of Power vs. Force by Sir David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., reveals to the general public secret information heretofore only shared by the author with certain Nobelists and world leaders. Analyzing the basic nature of human thought and consciousness itself, the author makes available to everyone the key to penetrating the last barrier to the advancement of civilization and science and resolving the most crucial of all human dilemmas.

Solid content, I didn’t mind his narration voice
Revisado: 06-18-22
I can completely see why some would be put off by Dr Hawkin’s narration, it didn’t bother me in the slightest. His voice reminds me of the quintessential monotone cadence of actor Ben Stein, and the content is engaging enough that I I don’t mind. I do tend to listen to books just a tick faster than normal, so I suppose that helps. I have read other books by him and am used to his voice. While I did notice content overlap, it didn’t feel redundant. On the contrary, it built upon what I’d already learned and digested from previous books of his.
I was especially moved by the end, where a detailed account of some of his spiritual like experiences mirrored my own current journey in a way that’s provided me not only crucial context, but also models a tangible way to communicate about it that’s more accessible to others in my life who have difficulty in understanding me.
I can and do recommend this book. But if it’s your first Hawkins book, I’d start with “letting go” which is in my opinion the best introduction to this material.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Could not sit through this book,
Revisado: 07-01-21
It made me break out in hives. My brother had recommended it and I am still wondering why. I didn’t make it past the first few minutes of this debacle of a book.
