I'm really excited to see this author and series in audio. I'd give the story a 5, and recommend putting the speed at 0.9. Virtual Voice doesn't do separate sounding voices for different characters, so it helps make more sense. I wish it was better at understanding which word in a sentence to emphasize, but mostly I'm just grateful to finally hear this author's works.

Great story, Virtual Voice needs work

I love the author and her books. I recommend all of them. I was super excited to see the books in Audible. The author uses tone and nuance to flavor the words, but the Virtual Voice does not always get the emphasis on the correct word in the sentence, which can be distracting or even confusing, sometimes. Most of the book worked well, though. Overall, I'm glad to hear these books and look forward to more.

Bad choice for male voice

I had to stop listening. the male voice actor sounds too old and not at all the way he's described in the book. I wish they had just stuck with the female voice actor, she was awesome.
