Virtual voice review
Revisado: 12-11-24
The narrator was virtual voice and it was awful. The voice is monotonous and doesn’t allow for voice changes for different characters.

This book was challenging to like because of the continuous fights between Bone and Cat. I still like the series and look forward to the next book.

Historia

Now, in Miss Julia Takes Over, with her sharp tongue and iron backbone intact, Miss Julia must tackle another disruption when Hazel Marie doesn't return from a dinner date. Miss Julia hires J. D. Pickens to investigate, despite her reservations about his taste for beer and women.

Historia
Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business. Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.

What a creative and powerful book. This book allowed me to develop an understanding of strong women who have endured abuse and the struggles girls endure as adolescence. One of the characters is transgender which allows the reader to take a peak into the life of one such person. If this becomes a banned book run to your nearest library or book store and pick up a copy!

Historia
Margot and James are broken up—for good this time. James made sure of it when he dropped the bomb on Margot: that he doesn’t want kids, ever. Then, on the biggest morning of his life, James—an ambitious lawyer at a high-powered firm—wakes up pregnant. He realizes with dread that he is part of a recent epidemic of men suddenly and inexplicably becoming pregnant. His condition obvious to the higher-ups, James is denied the promotion he was expecting, sending him reeling.
