Different... fresh story. Great pace. Loved the characters. Good reveal at end. Narrator was amazing! and I am super picky... She was perfect for the main character and did an overall fantastic job with the whole book/ all the characters. Definitely want more like this! And will look for more books with this narrator.

Not nearly as good as the Mercy Kilpatrick series (which is 5 stars all the way around)
Revisado: 02-02-24
The author has definitely improved with years. Listening to this earlier book, it seemed like the author had to many ideas and was all over the place. And the sex scene was too explicit and detracted from the story. The lead female character is your typical "in independent", but stupid, damsel in distress... even though she's a doctor (this is different from the authors other books)... lastly, listening to the narrator was like trying to watch a movie with a really bad actor. It just didn't flow naturally. At times she sounds robotic. Other times, the emphasis is wrong or completely flat. I almost didn't finish because of this. Pretty awful.

Has the Well Gone Dry?
Revisado: 09-02-22
Unlike the authors' other suspenseful books, this one lacked suspense, an interesting storyline, memorable characters, and just plain creativity. Nothing new here. Just a lot of eye rolling from this reader... Not sure if I'll continue with the series.

One of the best books I've listened to....
Revisado: 11-03-21
This book was very intense. I got so wrapped up in it, that I found myself yelling at the characters, at times. And sometimes, you just felt so bad for the characters, that you wanted to cry. The author did an amazing job of never dropping the ball... he kept the tension taught and had you questioning everything and everyone. Great book!
