Sooo Good!
Revisado: 12-11-24
My husband and I are so glad that we listened to the audio version of True Diary! It was through a review online that I learned of this story, and downloaded it. So glad I did! My husband's best friend was an indian from Oklahoma. They were wild teenagers together. At age 16, Steve took a corner too fast on a dirt road and killed himself. My husband has never gotten over this tragedy. He cried a lot relating to the friendship aspect between Arnold and Rowdy. I was impressed and inspired by the many relationships and the insights painted throughout the landscape of this memoir.

By the Middle You May Realize You're Too Old
Revisado: 09-12-24
Excellent book for young people! By the middle of it, however, I realized I was too old to apply things that should have been done between 25 and 50.

It turns out giving up your "right" to be offended can be one of the most freeing, healthy, simplifying, relaxing, refreshing, stress-relieving, encouraging things you can do. It's a radical, provocative idea: We're not entitled to get offended or stay angry. The idea of our own "righteous anger" is a myth. It is the number one problem in our societies today and, as Dallas Willard says, Christians have not been taught out of it. But what if Christians were the most unoffendable people on the planet?

Best Audio Presentation Award *from me
Revisado: 09-12-24
I absolutely loved listening to the author present his own book. And, I needed it. So, thank you! All the stories were definitely helpful to understand this.simple, but unintuitive, concept for Christian living.
Next, I'm on to critic conversations because I realize I need to know how to apply being unoffendable. It's obviously the way to live if I can only stop analyzing others!

Oh Gosh! So Good!!!
Revisado: 08-02-24
Elsie Finch was so thoughtful, clever, and uniquely captivating. The audio followed perfectly with the book. I related to various characters, but especially loved Beryl and Elsie. Isn't there something wonderfully special about those who can remain honorable in life-sucking situations? It's remarkable. I feel I know these people after reading Elsie, and I just wanted to listen to the story again. Dying to know what happened after the last word.

Written with interior psychology shown from rural suspicions and superstitions to the best of human goodwill and divine providence, intersecting. This should be required reading for high schoolers! The entertainment is as modern as any story today.
