Great story - not virtual voice

I didn’t like the virtual voice because the main characters sound the same - too me. This was a great story. The ending was cut short - but not if there is a book 2 - Melody’s story. This was my first book by this author. Reminds me of Gwendolyn Forester. Real life with real life twist and turns - you can’t predict the outcome.

Challenging Fears against Love

To start I read the second book in series first. Which was ok until I realized the ending of first book wasn’t picked up in second book. Just a few more pages to this ending would have been great.

Overall this was an excellent story - challenging a fear was a lot more detailed than I expected - it was beautifully done. Trigger warning.

Tory was outstanding. Seeing a man hold his own in pride and character was refreshing. His patience and devotion was admirable. I would love to see more Tory’s in the world.

A big story in a short time

I would never purchase an audiobook that was less than 6 hours. So to my surprise I got a full story with space for the next sequel. I totally missed in the title “prelude”. Looking forward to the series.

Wow — I’m never disappointed. Historical Black Romance is a treat like a hot fudge Sundae. This book was the last in the series - so I’ll go back and read the series again 👏🏾👏🏾

Well I sent a review after book one. The book was too short but I planned to read the series so it would feel like one book. I was not disappointed. This story line was deep family stuff that I can not knowing the details — could explain things I’ve seen in some men over the years. Alexandria you played out this story line in a condensed form — I’m really impressed.

Two short

Finished. I usually won’t purchase a book with less than 200 pages or an audio book less than 6 hours. I mean a book Les than 200 pages is a magazine. Since I love books by Alexandria I decided to get the series so it would seem like one book. This was a great story and understanding the fears we have to express our feelings gave me clarity I hadn’t thought about. And it was still too short — moving on to the next 2 books.

This is my A House favorite

It had been awhile since I had read previous books with characters in this book. I love uncle Lee Chester - so when he showed up, it was a humorous surprise. I enjoyed the build up from the prophetic dreams to the joining to the historical connection. I thought the story line was well done - especially the struggle of taking responsibility for a family legacy on one side and the emotional family boundaries on the other. Yes, I really enjoyed this book — it has been placed at the top of my list of not only A House books but many other authors.

Grieving and loving

This story give a balance of that internal evolution of grief and loving. Each person’s journey is different. This story gives an interesting blend with fear holding the ace. Yeah it’s like that. Thanks Christina for bringing out again so many similarities of our daily lives in print/audio.
