Awful AI narration!

The storyline for all three novels was a little shallow. It didn’t help any that the narration used was AI. There was no feeling or emotion to the storytelling, and the mispronunciation of some of the words contributed to the unsatisfactory storytelling.

Incredible!

I didn’t know what to expect when I decided to listen to this book. All I knew were the reviews I read and what incredible stories were inside. Little did I know that the journey I would take while listening to this would take me through intense pain, sorrow and anguish, for all the many girls and women in the same lifetime I’m living in, because they happen to have been born female. The first few chapters broke my heart in ways I couldn’t have imagined possible, for people I didn’t know, for a series of anecdotes from an influential source, about things you don’t see in headlines.

Melinda Gates offered a window for people to see the pervasive gender inequality that continue to persist in many cultures around the globe. The stories she shared about the many ways women survive in the most desperate situations, while inspiring, were maddening! In this day and age, why are WE the ones having to find ways to defend us, for being women?

I don’t think I have found my moment of lift yet because I’m angry at the fact that men aren’t being trained and educated, in whatever culture they are from, about the value women have in homes, the workforce, and society in general! I hope to one day see, if not for me but for my daughter, a world where contribution, not gender, propel our world forward, that women be given the same opportunities as men, in the many arenas in life!

Thank you for my education Melinda Gates! I am forever changed!

A dog lover’s treat!

I loved the story from beginning to end! The flow in between moved the story along nicely. The descriptions were so vivid I could almost feel like I was watching it live!

Share with others, especially those who have dogs, lost and reunited with them, use them as support animals, faithful companions! They truly are the epitome of love, loyalty and devotion!

Now I can go to the movies and watch it for comparison. :) I hope the screenplay is as good as the book!

Great ending to a wonderful trilogy!

Loved the story and how it all came together in the end.

Only comment really was about the narrator. There were parts there the book where she made them sound ridiculous, the way she interpreted the voice personalities. The women sounded like common gossips around the water cooler, when they really weren’t. It would’ve been good to hear the tone come out as haughty snobbery since they were supposed to be well-bred.

Good, but predictable

First, I’ll say that I enjoyed the book thoroughly and couldn’t put it down! The only part I had a problem with was being able to deduce where the story was headed and how they were going to be connected in the end.

Circle of Life!

I wasn’t sure how this was going to follow the original book. In the beginning it was a bit slow, but quickly picked up the story, pace & flow. I couldn’t stop listening to this book until it ended. I definitely cried a few times, and by the end of the book, I was crying happy tears at his full life of love & loyalty! I hug & talk to my Milo so much more during my journey through both books. I loved it!!!
