Good Character and Plot Development with Surprises and Twists
Revisado: 02-15-25
I enjoyed the unique world building and descriptions, especially of each fae domain. Good character and plot development with some interesting surprises and unexpected twists.
It’s not deep or dark. It’s a fun, humorous, light read. I did get tired of the predictability of the characters but each one did grow as the story progressed. I had difficulties with the narrator and it felt a bit “shrilly” at times but I did appreciate the tempo and the differing voices of the characters.
I definitely look forward to the sequel.

Great Story and Interesting Twists on Magic
Revisado: 01-30-25
I liked the narrator, Kate Reading. She is perfect for this series. And she has good pacing, inflections and overall beautiful storytelling skills.
I really enjoyed this new series with The Keepers. Great start to a new chapter, with new characters and a few returning ones. Has a good balance of mystery, action, tension and well developed world and character building.

Kept Me On Edge and Guessing
Revisado: 01-30-25
First, I always enjoy the Narrator, Kate Reading. She is perfect for this Author’s stories. Has a good tempo, inflection and pace.
Second, the story itself was excellent. The characters continued to grow and gain depth and not ALL of the characters inner personalities, secrets, motivations, were completely revealed at once but gradually as the main characters discovered them in the course of events with surprisingly plot twists and turns that left you guessing.
Finally, this second book in this series, leaves some things resolved BUT other things completely left you hanging and wondering how the story will actually end. It also had some heart-rending moments as well as some hilarious escapades! I think what I enjoy the most is some of the most insightful bits of wisdom the characters gain through the crucible of trials. Looking forward to the next book!!!!

Excellent Information on Autism
Revisado: 11-28-24
While the AI generated voice was generally good it still not the same as a human voice. At times the inflections were off. But it was one of the better ones I’ve listened to.
As far as the content of the book. It was excellent with concise chapters that really addressed specific issues and problems that autistics encounter with real life examples not only from the author’s own experiences but she mentions additional examples. Excellent explanations of definitions that describe the clinical terms of aspects of autism. Practical helps, suggestions and examples were also given specifically for the parents of autistic children.
However, as a late diagnosed autistic, I found the practical helps and suggestions very beneficial and life-affirming.
I would recommend this to parents and to autistic adults as well.

NOT a Christian Book
Revisado: 12-31-23
I was led to believe this would be a Christian fantasy book. I’ve read several Christian fantasy authors. This one is shocking for the foul language and sexual scenes. A Christian fantasy book doesn’t necessarily need to have overt religious imagery or references BUT I expect it to be clean reading so as not to become polluted in my mind with garbage that I could read with much more depth in a secular book. The characters are overall shallow. The plot is confusing and a purpose is lacking. It meanders through out. I was hoping it would get better but it progressively becomes worse.

Good Unexpected Plot Twists
Revisado: 12-28-23
I really enjoy this series and looking forward to the next installment. It has unexpected plot twists (although in the back of my mind I did expect most things). I like how things and individuals begin to come together into one story. I’ll not give any other spoilers. I do wish that Aed was a bit more involved in the lives of the characters.

Revisado: 10-23-23
Well done in character and story development. Attention to historical and cultural details. Narrator was good as well. I didn’t like the background interludes of music in book three it was annoyingly distracting. But overall i thoroughly enjoyed this series!

Historia
For Protestants or Catholics seeking to understand Eastern Orthodoxy, the Cross is a good place to start. In the West a multitude of different views sprang up over the last millennium, but Orthodox Christian beliefs have remained unchanged. The contrast between those views is suggested by the two images on the book's cover, showing how differently the meaning of the Cross was understood, East and West.

Good content and a good comparison between East and West theology. The author’s narration makes it difficult to not fall asleep. She speaks in a very soothing, quiet manner and I kept nodding off.

Can you imagine writing to Father Christmas and actually getting a reply? Every year, the children of J.R.R. Tolkien would write to Father Christmas, and the letters they received told wonderful stories of his adventures at the North Pole. These humorous tales are brought to life by Derek Jacobi as Father Christmas, John Moffatt as Polar Bear, and Christian Rodska as Ilbereth the Elf, complete with specially composed music.
