Great narration and stories
Revisado: 03-27-25
I listen to every one of Rusty’s
Books. The stories are real and more informative than scary. His voice is so soothing. If you really love Bigfoot stories, don’t miss.

Moving from Boston to remote Bearkill, Maine, isn't homicide cop Lizzie Snow's idea of a step up. But breaking away from tragedy and personal betrayal is at least a step in the right direction. Her dead sister's fate still torments her, as does her long-missing niece's disappearance. The town is full of people who see everything, say little, and know more than they'll share with an outsider.

Lizzie Snow series - not a fan
Revisado: 08-12-24
I preferred the Jake and Ellie Death by Chocolate series and the first series with the house makeover.
This book has all new characters and different location w Lizzie Snow. Made it to chapter 10.
Just could not keep my interest.

Voice is nice. Can help you 😴 sleep.
Revisado: 05-16-24
I had to start listening to this over and over again so eventually, I just used it to put me to sleep, about 30 minutes of this voice and it did the trick. Very calming. Very soothing. The story is very confusing. I couldn’t tell if they were three separate stories or just two separate stories Intertwined. Monsters in the forest and people go camping story. I’m

Historia
Jake and Ellie have been through a lot together, from home repair to homicide investigation. So when they decide to open a chocolate-themed bakery, they figure it'll be a piece of cake. With Ellie's old family recipes luring in customers, they expect to make plenty of dough this Fourth of July weekend. Having family home for the holiday only sweetens the deal for Jake - that is, until the ill wind of an early-season hurricane blows up her family's plans. But as bitter as the storm is, something even more sinister is brewing in the kitchen of The Chocolate Moose - where health inspector Matt Muldoon is found murdered.

Fabulous continuation with Sarah’s usual great storytelling. We get to hear more on the characters in her family. Easy to follow and narrator is very good. It was good to continue with Jake and Ellie’s adventures.

Entertaining who don’t it- worth a listen
Revisado: 01-23-24
I am really liking these two hour stories vs the 11 hr ones. This is my second one by Margot Hunter and I really do like her stories. Relatable and real. Serious plot twist “who did it”.
Also enjoyed the narrator who really makes the story come to life.

Plot twist, Great narrator
Revisado: 01-23-24
New author for me. I listen to a book a week and this one had a great plot and loved the narrator’s voice. Plus a bonus- not 11 hours long. 👍
You can have an awesome book, and the narrator can ruin it. So I’m looking for more to listen with the author and the narrator as well.
This one is worth a listen.

Historia
Christmas is just weeks away, but what Jacobia Jake Tiptree discovers at Faye Anne Carmody's house is far from festive: a dazed Faye Anne covered with blood. Her no-good husband, Merle--Eastport's butcher and least-liked citizen--is nowhere in sight. Nowhere, that is, until Jake finds his body--wrapped in his own butcher paper. It looks like an open-and-shut case, but Jake isn't convinced. Then another resident turns up dead, and Jake knows the trail doesn't begin--or end--with Merle.
